I feel bad for the more recent adopters of Aston Villa, probably Americans not wanting to come off as douchebags that can also say they support a Premier League team with an American player.

Villa won't be back in the PL for at least 2-3 seasons.

It's really sad they are going to go down. Villa should always be in the top flight

The return of the villa-birmingham derby will be exciting though

There's a young guy on the local sports radio station I listen to in DFW that adopted Villa a couple of years ago as is his introduction to soccer. Reading his tweets on Saturday mornings is half-amusing/half-painful, but the guy has stuck with them so far. He's getting a little worried about how he'll be able to follow them in the Championship next year though.

ETA: Villa was one of the first EPL games I can ever remember seeing on TV as a kid. Their colors are still the GOAT in England IMO.

I wish ESPN would buy the rights to the championship and put all the games on ESPN3, probably doesnt make financial sense but it's such a competitive league, would be entertaining, and I could watch Blackburn matches again (maybe it's better I don't have this option though...)

Yeah, I was more implying that Villa's is the best because it's the first one I remember seeing. Claret and blue looks good on everyone though.

That would be awesome. I used to like Blackburn back in the day when they had Morten Gamst Pedersen. Well back in the day as in when they were actually still in the PL. Didn't realize he played for them all the way through 2013.
