[embed]Too close for my liking. Draws against Sunderland, 10 man Chelsea, this liverpool team, Wolves, Forest, Brentford have cost us.[/embed]

Drawing wolves after being 2-0 up is just unfathomably bad, closely followed by the 10 man Chelsea game

Great result for us in the City game. Thought they would beat Burnley by 5 goals

It really is a 5 game season now.

Let's just hope the boys are up for it.

On another note, Atletico keep losing too. They've won 1 of the last 8 or so and it was the Barca match. Don't know if they have given up in the other comps but a win for us this weekend should give us some momentum going into the first leg.

As it pertains to the Burnley v City game that was the best result honestly given they were never going to lose. Didn't really increase their GD and we are tied now on GD. Honestly thought it was gonna be 4-0 or 5-0 which would have been terrible.

Burnley are absolutely horrific, they had a ton of chances on the counter to go and score, but anytime they got near the box their players just forgot how to actually kick a ball. It was incredible to watch.

We play Newcastle and Fulham at home before City go Away to Everton on a Monday night who are fighting for a European spot. Need to win both and put maximum pressure on City to get a result.

Whoever mentioned it above also; Atletico look terrible right now other than their games against Barca who they get up for.

Newcastle and Fulham always play us tough. F the goal difference just win those two. We will make up the goal difference at West Ham (hopefully they are safe by then) and at home to Burnley.

Have high hopes for Everton, Bournemouth, Brentford, and maybe Villa (hopefully fighting for a champions league spot) to go for it against City.

But first just need 3 each against Newcastle and Fulham.

As for Atletico, I read somewhere that they are essentially just resting players at this point in the league and their starters are playing Champions League. No idea how true that is but if it is, we gotta be ready for a pressing onslaught in the first half of the game next Wednesday away.

Well Atletico also lost the cup final. I don't know if they rotated there.

But there is something about losing most of your games for over a month and just switching it back on. That's why Arsenal looked so bleak, no one saw us just now going out and smashing teams with a flip of a switch.

And I want to believe we will win the CL this season. The Final is May 30th. That's plenty of time to get players like Saka and Timber back, just got to make it there.

Imagine Merino coming on the last 15 minutes and getting the winner. Would 100% be part of his M.O.

I'm getting hyped again. Didn't realize this until now.

After that 1-1 draw against city we won 10 games in a row.

Some of our opponents during that run were Newcastle, Atletico, West Ham, Burnley, Crystal Palace and Fulham.

So all of our current opponents.

Me too. and most everyone will be back. We just need technique up front right this moment and in the 8 and 10 spots. Eze in great form and Odegaard had a good game. Eze on the left could finally start reaping rewards especially against bus parkers with his movement and ability to hold on to the ball.

Saka, Havertz and Odegaard haven't started together since 2024.

They all got on the field in the win at Old Trafford, but Havertz got injured.

Our best lineup to finish the season has to be:

Martinelli/Kai/Saka
Eze/Rice/Odegaard
Cala/Gabriel/Saliba/Timber

That gives you runners, hold up play, creativity, and the ability to build up against just about any press.

With no Timber and a healthy Saka, we've gotta get Ben White into some sort of form

I fear Ben's body is cooked. He gave up so much for this team, would hate to see us not get over the line with the sacrifices he's made.

Started all but 1 PL game across 22-23, 23-24 seasons. And basically started every single game we played in 23-24

You can tell he's not fit, and not sure he will ever get back there. He does like 2 sprints to the final 3rd and he's struggling to track back. He used to be a workhorse

One thing I will say about the overplaying is I still don't think we do any more than other top teams.

Yeah, Zubi is playing mor minutes than he has, but Semenyo and Guehi have played more minutes than all Arsenal players except Raya.

Raya does not have the most minutes for a keeper; 3 other keepers are ahead of him.

Arsenal has 6 players in the top 100 for minutes, City has 7.

Odegaard
Rice
Zubi
Noni
Kai
Eze

Saka makes the bench, still no Calafiori.
