Midfield is just an area where we don't have a lot of people with Merino out.

Kai doesn't succeed there, Norgaard never plays, and Merino being hurt mean Rice & Zubi just get run into the ground.

Definitely an area of need in the summer

Reports are Eze, Rice, Gabriel, Trossard in training today.

No mentions of Timber or Saka

Surely we can escape Portugal with a draw or a 1 goal loss at the worst tomorrow right

Win tomorrow and on the weekend and people will be on top of the world again.

I am also glad we are out right now. Southampton drew city so that's who we would be playing again. And then another potential match against Chelsea that would see our league games moved around. No thanks.

Saka & Timber didn't even travel.

Eze probably won't play till the weekend.

Hope Ben White has his shite together

Huge week. Really hoping Chelsea can get a result against City. If City draws at Chelsea, and we can keep the advantage over City on goal difference the rest of the seaosn, and also assuming City beats Palace with their game in hand, we would only need 13 points to win the league. 4 wins, 1 draw, 2 losses. I think that is very doable.

The big thing now is to Not Lose a non City game in the league the rest of the way.

They all need to step it up. Some of these guys that have been in and out with injury. White, Odegaard, Havertz, Calafiori. Should all be playing to show they have it.

Declan Rice, Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Magalhaes all took part in this afternoon’s open training session at London Colney before Arsenal flew to Lisbon ahead of tomorrow night’s Champions League quarter-final first leg against Sporting.

This is good. For me the first 4 names on the team sheet has to be Raya, Gabriel, Saliba and Rice. If we want to win, these guys need to be playing the rest of the way.

One more thing to remember.

quote:

The 2003–04 season was Arsenal Football Club's 12th season in the Premier League and their 78th consecutive season in the top flight of English football. It began on 1 July 2003 and concluded on 30 June 2004, with competitive matches played between August and May. The club ended the Premier League campaign as champions without a single defeat – a record of 26 wins and 12 draws. Arsenal fared less well in the cups, eliminated in the FA Cup and League Cup semi-finals to Manchester United and Middlesbrough respectively, and at the quarter-final stage of the UEFA Champions League to Chelsea.

All is not lost.

Huge game today. I wonder if they are gonna boo the shite out of Gyokeres. He almost singlehandedly led them to 2 titles but did go on strike to come here

Get a minimum of a point and no injuries and I'll be okay with the result.

Let's go.

They have won all of their home CL matches. So even a draw is the best result any team going there has had.

Damn I want a Vik hat trick so bad

Hoping Odegaard can play well today. I'm guessing they give him 60-75 mins. We are so devoid of backup right 8 options other than Kai who I love us a second striker and who has insane chemistry with Gyokeres but Kai ain't a 90 min player at the moment

Best option is probably Dowman to come in for that spot I think, especially if chasing a goal.

Kai if we are trying to close something out

That pass past Ben White was arguably the best I have seen all year. Great save by Raya.

We are playing solid I think. Getting into the groove offensively more. 1-0 Win or Draw is good with me.

You can tell the difference between today and Saturday. Having Rice and Calafiori on the field makes us so much stronger defensively it is crazy.
