That was way too stressful of a match for a season opener

One more positive.

We got 1 point from that game last season. So we are already 2 points better.

All of our wins at Old Trafford in the PL era have been 1-0. We really struggle there.

The girls are nice
He dumped his girlfriend
To play in Red and White
He's scoring goals with the Canon on his Chest
His name is Viktor
VIKTOR GYOKERES
Du Du Du Du Du Du Du Du

Beating a dead horse because i missed it live but that game was an absolute dumpster fire of a performance

Just not sure why this team always have games with so many careless turnovers/bad touches especially on the counter

Gyorekes was just about invisible all game…worst game since his days at coventry?

Happy to see Raya collecting time wasting yellows at the start of the season

obviously a W is what matters but i’ve seen these same type of careless games with the same results the last 3 years

guess one silver lining is no one got injured

Exclusive: Leandro Trossard has agreed a new deal at Arsenal. 30-year-old will have salary increased to reflect valued role in squad. Deal not extended - will still run to 2027.

Reckon that’ll be the end of our transfer window. Idiotic to increase the wages of a 30YO who you you won’t be able to move on from next year

Madueke the new LW. This club just can’t help get out its own way.

Window started great, and ended with quite the whimper.

No Eze, no Rodrygo, no Leao

Just gonna run it back with Martinelli, “Saka’s backup” and Trossard

I loved that. It’s about time we had a forward who can bully people.

Well I guess at least we’ve equaled our forward signings of the last 5 or 6 windows right?

I just can’t fathom giving a 30 yr old a raise. Hes at best the 3rd choice LW or 4th choice CF, probably even lower if Jesus comes back healthy.

0 ambition from the management group

And we still haven’t sold a single player otherwise

That’s disappointing. Why not just keep him on the contract he’s on?

That’s probably the worst part, his contract still runs out in 2 years….. but we’re paying him more?

You don’t do that for past services rendered, especially not when you already struggle to sell players. Especially NOT one that is going to pay significantly less and his value will only go down.

Just brain dead shite. The only possible way this doesn’t suck is if they are selling Martinelli and getting a top LW. But knowing this club, 0 percent chance that happens

On 2nd thought, they’ll probably just sell Martinelli and roll with Madueke/Trossard/Jesus when he comes back

Looks like Kai is out with a knee injury…we can’t have nice things. Severity not yet reported.

Need to sign another forward then.

Arsenal forward Kai Havertz is set for a spell on the sidelines with a knee injury.

The 26-year-old Germany international was not part of an open training session at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday morning.

Assessments are at an early stage so the prognosis and duration of any lay-off is unclear.

quote:

Arsenal are, however, actively exploring the transfer market to potentially reinforce their attack and cover the absence of Havertz.

New signing Viktor Gyokeres is now the only recognised striker fit and available in Mikel Arteta’s squad. Leandro Trossard, who has recently agreed to a new contract with the club, has also featured there previously.

The Trossard thing makes more sense now.

frick it, go in for Isak.

According to various reports, German side Werder Bremen are lining up a move for goalkeeper Karl Hein.

The Estonia international, 23, has been on Arsenal’s books since 2018, but his only senior outing came in a 3-1 Carabao Cup defeat to Brighton three years ago.

He’s since taken in a short stint at Reading and spent last season in La Liga with Real Valladolid, where he racked up 31 appearances.

Knowing this club and Chelsea, we’ll do a loan for Nicolas Jackson
