Man, this window could be considered a failure after what our peers have done

I could not disagree more. We got a great striker without breaking the bank, have another starter in defensive mid, have competition for Martinelli and have built competent depth at multiple positions.

Noni could mess around and end up first choice LW before we know it. He's a maverick and if we keep being right side heavy, we will need a chicken salad out of chicken shite player on the left. Something out of nothing.

Wut, this is probably the best window we have had in the modern era

That doesn't say much at all

When/if rodrygo, eze, and isak all get sold to rival clubs, our transfer window will look mighty measly in comparison. Having a club like United out spend us in a window is awfully embarrassing, even when they have little sales to boot.

We need one more piece to replace trossard at least, if not someone that can challenge Martinelli on the left hand side

Edit: I am extremely happy we got zubi and Gyokeres, fyi

We need another LW, especially if Trossard leaves.

That gives you 6 attackers (LW, Martinelli, Kai, Gyok, Saka, Noni) 7 when/if Jesus comes back

It would also give us as many attacking signings as we’ve had since 2020.

Just fricking go for broke and give yourself a better chance of seeing out a 60+ game season

I'm still just confused by this tbh. We have established World Class players in this team. United arguably just have one in Bruno. They need to fill a ton of positions, we do not.

Also, United are putting themselves in a giant PSR hole for the 26-27 season if they don’t make a European comp next year, and probably needs to be CL AND sell players to comply.

I think i read they needed to be near net zero spend to even be close to compliance, and they’ve spent 200+M so they are kinda pushing their chips in if it doesn’t work

Well we haven't bid for eze. If the club saw him as the top target why would we have not even gone to palace yet?

Probably because we are lurking that rodrygo deal.

And also looks like Ethan will be a central player for us, he's the future there. He signed a new deal and we went completely quiet on the Eze thing.

Agreed. United are the second most valuable club in the world. Of course they are going to spend especially when they finished 16th last year.

Realistically, who can we get that’s an upgrade at left-wing? I could see Rodrygo on loan but otherwise who would we target? I can’t see them paying an $80 million transfer fee plus paying him 300K a week salary.

??Exclusive: Arsenal want @ChampionsLeague winner to join club.

Arsenal has reached out to Crystal Palace regarding Eberechi Eze to hold talks with @SpursOfficial .

They made their request to Eze just a few days ago as exclusively reported by us, but now they're going straight to Palace.

@CPFC is scratching their heads, wondering why Arsenal hasn’t put in a bid yet. It’s a bit of a mess, honestly. They’re confused about the whole situation.

@Arsenal have the budget ?? for Eze and doesn’t even need to sell anyone to make this happen.

So, what’s the hold up?

We can confirm they are waiting on their first choice target ?? to make a decision before submitting a bid for Eze.

This is dangerous game they are playing while they wait on @realmadrid regarding

Rodrygo ??

Example of them maybe knowing things. Called the Grealish transfer pretty early.

LINK

Link to training the other day. First time in quite some time I have seen our entire team on the training pitch together. It is glorious. Ballers all over the field.

Looks like the Eze ship had sailed.

Hopefully they are working on an out and out LW deal.

I like the window, but we need to add another attacker

And we need to start selling guys

I suspect there will be a bunch of deadline day moves for a lot of clubs.

We do have a big squad, but you have sambi, Nelson, viera, zinchenko type fringe players that need to move on.

Dowman made the trip to Manchester. Wow.

If we get off to a flying start. Say win 4 draw 1 or 2 in the first 6, we are cooking. Want to beat United and City (later in the year) and Liverpool and Newcastle away so bad

Raya
White
Saliba
Gabriel
Calafiori
Zubi
Rice
Odegaard
Saka
Martinelli
Gyokeres

Dowman didn’t make the squad, just traveling for the experience I reckon

Looks like everyone is healthy

Really like this lineup for letting Martinelli work towards the center of the formation and have Cala holding width, plus Gyokeres clearing space for him

Also allows Rice to play deeper, which is better

I'm legit shocked it is Big Vik and not Havertz. What a moment for Big Vik

I saw it speculated that Havertz will probably start against the teams that have a lot of offensive firepower (need for pressing)

You’ll kind of have 2 different set ups (assuming everyone is healthy)

Low/Midblock teams: Cala, Martinelli, Gyokeres

Offensive powerhouses: MLS, Madueke, Havertz

With everyone else kinda being equal. Calafiori is such a force multiplier when he’s healthy, roams all over the place causing havoc
