Still haven't really figured out why Norgaard doesn't play more. Not sure I've seen him put a wrong foot any game he's played, even at CB

Attack looks awful toothless since Odegaard came on. Hate to pile on, but White is standing next to Vik instead of Kai.

Odegaard has been behind Mosquera a few times when Mosquera received the ball.

Think it’s just a lack of urgency, no need in trying to go all out and make something happen and risk injury in a game like this. We’ve already finished 1st overall in the league phase.

Really should have scored more but the intent is there. Hope we carry this over to Leeds and the rest of the season.

We aren't going to get the defensive record so im cool if we get some like 6-1 or 8-2 type games.

Not sure how accurate this is but potential round of 16 opponenets.

Some notes:

-Kai/Rice/Eze may our best midfield setup
-Love the chaos Madueke brings to the team, but boy, his final actions are less than desirable
-Norgaard should play more
-I think I'm over the Hincapie CB experiment. Constantly overmatched there in duels. LB only for me
-MLS needs midfield minutes. Or stick to having him invert. The traditional LB spot for him is neutering him a bunch.
-Eze has to play more. Didn't have a goal/assist but he's constantly hunting for passes/actions in the middle of the pitch
-Kai/Vik was fun to watch. Think you could get that same type dynamic with Trossard/Eze LW with Kai being then backboard and Martinelli playing off him
-Glad Saka/Gabriel/Timber/Saliba/Zubi got full rests. (even if some were injured to some extent)

With Martinelli being a cup specialist and a dip in form from Trossard play Eze on the left and let him stay inside and let Hincapie run the wing. Then you can keep rice and Zubi in the team.

Hes so much better in the left space closer to the action. Lots of give and go, one and two touch. He’s not a in possession type player, but more someone to play off of. Don’t isolate him on the wing but you can give him defensive support with rice if he does lose the ball.

Was the last time Eze played off the left when he lost Matty Cash at Villa?

I agree with you.

I am so happy Calafiori got minutes in his legs in a less demanding CB role instead of the inverted LB where he's everywhere. I would love for him to be able to start at LB by the time we play Sunderland next weekend. Would be huge IMO. There is no doubt our dip in form started when he got hurt. Both offensively and at the back. I genuinely think he is a truly special player.

I've also like Hincapie at LB and can't understand why some of our fans have started to turn on him. Hell even usual positive people like Gunnerblog and Arseblog have been hammering him and Gyokeres. I just don't think it is fair considering that they don't do that shite to Odegaard who deserves it more. But I guess it makes sense Hincapie is in the firing line since he's been in the team starting for two months with Gabriel and Calafiori hurt in Dec/Jan. I for one am grateful he stepped in.

Yeah Hincapie is fine as a LB, I don't really like him as a CB. Loses his man too often, and loses a lot of duels. He completely left his man unmarked for the 2nd goal yesterday

No fresh injuries and everyone but Dowman is available to start.

Now's the time we need to turn it up and go on a winning run

Don't think I like the midfield Balance unless Zubi is playing as an 8 and Rice the 6.

Or they're in a true pivot

Not sure how it’ll look on the field, but id love to see Kai playing as an actual 10 or SS, similar to his leverkusen days. Need a good cameo from Ø in the second half too.

Would like to see Eze for Trossard.

But watch Trossard come up big now that I’ve said that.

Interested to see if this sets up as a 4-4-2 in possession with Kai dropping into the midfield for buildup purposes.

Although Timber isn't much of an overlapper
