Mentally fragile like always in big games. Up 1-0 and start playing cautiously.

They just quit playing hard. All 3 of their goals came from not working hard. We quit winning 2nd balls and going hard into challenges (and a shitty pass from Zubi).

Then once we actually had the ball in the moments where we weren't playing hard, they got frantic and made too many careless turnovers.

They just don't have any kind of killer instinct. I don't care what position we are in for PL, CL, FA, Caribou. When the going gets tough, these players AND manager fold like a cheap lawn chair. If Chels score a goal first in the 2L of the League Cup we will lose that game.

We will have to get lucky for this team to get over any of the humps because they are in their own heads.

Always waiting for the other shoe to drop because THEY don't even believe we can win

Should have been 10 pts up 3 weeks ago, now we're 4 up and a run of performances reserved for a relegation battling team.

Zubi took the air out of the team with his mistake.

They'll play the rest of the season wondering who is going to make the next mistake

Only saving grace from all of this is that we're still 4 points clear from city and villa.

Also likely to finish at the top of the CL table.

Continue to get healthy, get some continuity and chemistry back, and go on a run to get some hardware

Team full of some of the best players on the planet and we automatically can't win every year for 3 or 4 games during crunch time.

Arsenal. Someone step up and end the misery.

Issue #1

PLEASE FIX THIS

I want any of the other front 6 to be there, and when he's playing on Sakas side, I want Saka there. Why is that so taboo with Mikel?

We need to stop playing for corners on the touchline and take the game to the other team.

Also: why the frick are we moving Saka out of his spot for Noni? Noni should be the one to go to LW.

Hate to keep harping on it, but this is bad.

I've said this the past 2 years. No excuse for that still to be the case.

Odegaard cannot start for this team anymore, even his OOP work has been bad. Teams just bully him now.

Save his starts for the Kairats & Cup games.

I'm also sick and tired of this static block that we set up in now that just moves side to side and gets picked apart through the middle. We hardly ever counter press anymore if the initial press is broken. Not sure if this is purposeful with all the injuries from years past, but you can almost set your watch to when we give up goals now.

We set up in that block and stop being aggressive on duels and the ball hangs around long enough and the opposition gets a half chance that inevitably goes in now.

Surely we'll give up roughly the same amount of goals just trying a little harder? We went like 8 games and conceded like 2 or 3 SOT and we weren't defending like this

I've noticed and mentioned this with Timber a few times. The guy ends up at attacking mid and other positions all too often. It isn't like Cala who floats around there but soon gets back to LB, rather he lingers there. Timber is a great fullback, one of the best, but I'm not sure the team needs him in those advanced positions.

Like what is stopping us from doing this again? Other than specific instructions

Need Calafiori fit going forward if we want to win big games. But today starts a fresh reset for the players.

None of our regular starters should play vs Kairat so they should be getting ready to score 7 on Leeds

I'd be ok winning 1-0 if we could show the ability to progress the ball through the middle of the pitch again.

We cannot continue the horseshoe football with each winger hugging the touchline sending in meager crosses or playing for corners.

Leeds/Chelsea(EFL)/Sunderland feels like make or break for this season. We have to move forward playing differently

With the transfers we got and the way we were playing before Christmas, I thought this team was immune to another midseason PL swoon. I was sure wrong about that. Same old same old.

Man, Eze has been a severely disappointing signing. Maybe even more disappointing than Vik

This is what I'm talking about when we go through these weird lulls where every thing is out of sorts. It almost always leads to the other team scoring or giving up some big chances. Just a lack of hustle and getting stuck in on tackles most of the time. But it really compounds when we do manage to win the ball back and immediately give it up with shitty actions that should be easy for us

He's got the same problem all of our attackers save maybe Trossard have, low blocks.

I wish we could play on the break a little more with Eze running the show instead of Odegaard.

Tomorrow is a get right game. Wanted the teenagers to play but frick that especially with Dowman still hurt. Play the best 11 and put 10 past these randos

Na, the guys need rest. But doesn't mean we shouldn't try some other shite out

ETA: Arteta said today that Timber & Saliba are out. And Rice & Merino are on suspension.

I'd like Zubi to not play. He's the next highest in minutes besides Timber/Saliba/Rice

Solid rotated lineup

Kepa
White
Mosquera
Cala
MLS
Norgaard
Eze
Havertz
Madueke
Martinelli
Gyokeres

Interested to see Vik & Kai together. Glad Cala is back as well

Lots of young folks on the bench. Hope we'll get to see Ife Ibrahim. Looks like a young Partey. Just signed his first contract with us yesterday. Check some highlights:
