Yep - gotta give the guys in front of him confidence, knowing you have a world class talent behind you

I know it's preseason but they are absolutely dominating. Ozil looking fantastic too, hopefully this full preseason will push him to his very best.

Not much Petr could do being hung out to dry like that, and Barkley bulls-eyed it in the far upper corner.

But had to like Petr's positioning while isolated. He was at the right place. If anyone could have stopped it, he could.

There will be some not-quite so precise strikes off defensive breakdowns this season that he will save.

God dammit we were good yesterday.

The chemistry we so obviously lacked to start last year is just there.

Santi was brilliant.

What made me happiest was how sturdy we looked defensively without the traditional DM. just two box to box guys. That means we can rest Coq and get Ramsey, Jack, Ozil, Santi all in together.

Chambers was quite good too. Very excited about this group. Depth everywhere. Versatility. Chemistry. The stars are aligned for a great season.

Arsenal are really looking quite good. This is the most talented and deepest squad we have had in a very long time. So many players that are entering the prime of their careers and so many that are leaders.

This season has a chance to be very special.

plus its the slow part of the off season and there is no reason the spurs season long thread should be at the top of the page. obligatory know your role bump.

Where there's smoke there tends to be fire. Not saying we will get Benzema, but I think we're in for him, no doubt.
