Agreed. Gabriel has been brilliant since being inserted into the starting 11. He and Kos are beginning to develop quite the partnership. With two mobile CBs we can press higher up the field. Something we couldn't do with Per.

They are the most athletic duo in the league. Having Cech behind them helps so much.

A draw at the Bridge is a good result. Crucial that we score first.

The Hey Jude/Giroud song was clever the first few times. Time to put that one on the shelf, guys.

Why did Gabriel get the red? Like Costa is notorious for this and he was provoking it the entire time. And, he stopped so that Gabriel would step on him. I love watching the premier league but some of these guys seem so soft

I have no criticisms of Arsenal today other than 1) Gabriel has to be smarter and 2) his teammates should have separated him from Costa.

Otherwise this is squarely at the feet of Mike Dean and Diego Costa. Both should be suspended for several matches for disgracing the sport.

Only worry I have is that Alexis was really poor and the possibility of being 8 points back of City this early is depressing

Despite Costa and inconsistent officiating, we were in our usual mode while at full strength--we seem to feel we get a point for a 2-4 cute passes in the penalty area rather than putting it in the back of the net.

I hope taking out Coq was just precautionary. That forward knee extension did not look good.

I hope it's not a typical Arsenal "double blessing" we've gotten used to the last couple years--a miserable loss coupled with losing a key player long term.

My thoughts on today:

1) Where did the Alexis of last season go?
2) Ramsey should have pulled the trigger when he was wide open on the right side of the box, instead of trying to cut it back and losing the ball.
3) frick Mike Dean.
4) Double frick Diego Costa.

A complete farce of a match. All that needs to be said.

Embarrassment for PL officiating. Costa could have garnered 4 yellows within a 90 second span. Incredibly awful. Ruined a good match until then.

It's as if refs completely wipe their memories every week of Costa's propensity to be a count.

Hot garbage.

Yup. I will literally never discuss or think about this Match again. Shame that a ref can ruin a good day of football but it happens.

There is a reason I refuse to wake up for early games against Chelsea. And that last league game Cahill should have had an early red for a two footed tackle against Alexis. Same old shite.

We didn't lose any ground in the title race. There have been worse weekends.

Coq is out Wednesday with a swollen knee.

I'm really concerned this lingers. He's our most important player right now to me as we have no comparable cover. shite.

There were rumors that Coq could be ready for the weekend. Can only hope that they are true.
