we have to bring in an experienced CB in if we sell TV5. really wouldn't mind nabbing smalling or Jones in exchange for tv5. I'm not sure who we're targeting (though I'm sure we're targeting a young, talented CB). giminez?
I'd be surprised if we got Jones or Smalling. Man U is unlikely to make that happen.
As for young CB's, I might like Juan Jesus, or Aymeric Laporte next year if we want our CB for the next decade. I honestly don't know who else we would get though. I wouldn't mind a player like Papadopoulos, but I don't know if he is good enough on the ball. I'd really like it if Hayden worked out. We haven't had a CB come through our system in a long time.
I really would like some confirmation for Shad Forsythe, pushing Tony Colbert out. I've read that Colbert is rather arcane in his methods, and that probably contributes to our injury problems. That is the most important thing for this season. Limiting injuries. If we had Ramsey for more of the season, we certainly would have done better in certain games. Although we could have used him in all the big losses, I'm not sure he would have made that big of a difference, though Ramsey seems to partner really well with Arteta, he would have been especially helpful in all those other games we dropped during that period.

We need to pay whatever it takes to get Germany's trainer. And with the quickness.

He's an American. Maybe Gazidis has some ties.

I was under the impression (before the WC) that this was Arsenal's "first signing" of the offseason.

Classic Wenger Southampton youth out of nowhere signing. Calum Chambers for 12-15m to be second choice RB and 3rd or 4th choice CB while Jenks goes out on loan.
Love it personally. A lot of Southampton fans and England youth coaches say he's as good as Shaw. Very versatile to, could even be converted to CDM

Love it. He looked better than Shaw to me. Let Jenks go on loan and sell TV5 to Barca.

I'd read Callum Chambers talk late last week on Twitter, but I think it was just fans wish listing.
Great buy. Would love another CB though. I can be greedy.
BTW, who airs the game tomorrow? Out of town this weekend.
Also my Ramsey jersey comes in Tuesday.

Henry and Wenger.....
I really think our focus on Asia has been wrong. The US has more money and a much larger player pool, than Korea or Japan.

what time is the garn darn game

but a more diluted market, and until fairly recently, less soccer crazy. our trips to asia were likely much more effective at adding new fans.

This is true, but I promise you much less money is going to the Arsenal store. All those people buy is knockoffs sold on the street.

I bought an Arsenal Chinese knockoff for like 100 pesos at a Puerto Vallarta flea market last year. Piece of shite honestly.
Random, had a dream last night that Ox had a monster season this year. I hope he and Jack take big strides.

I would agree with this, if we didn't spend many of those trips in Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia.
We played, what, one game in Japan last year, and that was basically just a Ryo Miyachi/Arsene Wenger testimonial.
East Asian supporters have expendable income. I doubt that Vietnam and Malaysia are great markets to sell team-branded merchandise and Arsenal Player premium subscriptions.
