Anyone have thoughts on squad selection today?

I say keep running out a strong lineup, maybe give Monreal a run and give Baccy a break.

GK: Scezney
DEF: Jenkinson, Kosc, Per, Monreal
MID: Jack, Rambo, Rosicky
FWD: Santi, Giroud, Walcott

Wouldn't mind seeing Santi in the midfield for Rosicky and let Podolski stay hot, but with a 3-0 road lead, I'm okay with some tweaking.

I'm kind of thinking the same. Plenty of rest will be available before the NLD.

I would like to see a Sanogo or a Gnabry off the bench.

I'd be more than fine with that.

With a midweek game, isn't that a shorter rest period that what is "normal"?

Best case scenario. Tuesday midweek and EPL match on Sunday.

I hate you right now man. Enjoy it. Hope you have a better result than what I had a couple weeks ago over there.

double post so I'll go ahead and put this in here

remember: get off at Finsbury Park tube station (not Arsenal station) on the Victoria line. All the pubs are around there and everyone kind of walks over together.

I had trouble with finding my gate because I just had a member card and no wifi access to check my email with my seat info. They have blokes hanging around the stadium that scan your card and print out a receipt telling you where to go. Not sure your situation but I had no idea about that and stumbled around less than sober/mostly hungover until I figured that part out.

I'll guess:

Szcz
Jenks-Baccy-Kos-Monreal
Jack-Rambo
Gnabry-Rosicky-Poldi
Sanogo

I have no clue. I really think we should at least rest Giroud, Santi, Rambo, Theo and Per. we won't do that though...it'll be a very strong lineup. I do think Sanogo might get a start though.

Damn. that's practically our top XI. i think that's fricking crazy, personally. Saturday is a big match. we could have rotated maybe one other person!

I think whatever transfers arsene has in mind are incumbent on making the CL so he doesn't want to take any chances. And I'm sure he'll sub fairly early/instruct the players to play keep away and conserve energy especially if we get to the second half with the three goal lead intact. Not to mention almost five days of rest really should be enough for a professional footballer to recover from fatigue

No idea why we didn't start Gnabry or Ryo on the wing or perhaps use Sanogo or Eisfeld/zelalem in place of Cazorla/Wilshere/Podolski/Walcott.

Just start 3 youngsters and have 3 of our starting 11 ready to come in the second half if needed
