Can someone explain to me how he fits our system perfectly? Where would he play?

Wenger actually has a pretty good history of getting "troubled" players to produce. Tony Adams was an alcoholic, Henry was viewed as a bit of underachieving malcontent before arriving at arsenal, vieira always had a reputation as a dirty player. Even guys like Anelka and Adebayor, even though they showed no loyalty to arsenal and behaved disgracefully after leaving, produced well on the field for us

Just behind Giroud, but he also roams really well. Good passer of the ball in tight spaces.

he could play in any of our four attacking positions and excel there. I'd imagine he'd primarily play no. 9.

for us, he was at his best when played centrally as a false 9... he had license to roam all over.. very similar to Messi's role at Barca...

I think this was when he was most effective...

When we got Sturridge, he usually played right behind him and their link up play was very good...

I hear some say he is best suited out wide, but IMO you are really limiting what he can do... he is best in a free role.

Only thing he really lacks is pace...

Our wingers are really wide forwards, and we only get width from the full backs, so he'll have a lot of freedom there.

he can definitely play there... If I remember correctly, the one game we played him as a winger, was one of his least effective due to the defensive responsibilities that BR requires from that position...

I wanna say it was the 2nd match agains you guys earlier this year... may be wrong there

suatez would fit our system, he could play anywhere up front for ajax playing a 4-3-3. The market sux rt now. still wish we would have gotten him strait out of ajax and 50 mil is a bit much when we could have gotten players over the years for way less than that.

So the City match has been moved to 5p on Friday instead of 9a Saturday? Damn.

Will have to recalibrate next weekends plan...

Thoughts on the Napoli game?

IMO we looked pretty good. Their two goals came on really bad mistakes by jenkinson and fabianski, neither of which are first team players. We missed a pk and still managed to scratch out a draw. Giroud missed some chances but he got his goal and I love his attitude and hustle. Ox needs to play more and podolski needs to play less this season. As always arteta is the beating heart of our squad, and we're an entirely different team when he plays.

Also I know it's only one game but this is why I never understood the clamor on here for Higuain. He's a good player but certainly not the answer to our problems. Koscielny bottled him up no problem, he's a glorified poacher

How strong a team was this for Napoli? First team? Second team? Half and half?

I would love nothing more than the Arsenal front office feeling the exact same way.
