This is exactly his motive in this case. Germany and Spain do it all the time so their teams have an extra day of rest for European competitions.

for reals? I didnt expect him to play this season, just not enough time to get good reps. I feel bad for him, but at some point we will need to cut ties.

I'm ok with letting him rehab over the summer and get fit. No point in pushing him back fast just for some games at the end of the season where he would probably only be a sub anyway.
