Arsenal are rolling in cash The same thing me, Beast, and crazy were all saying. The club is sitting on money rather than spending it. And before anyone says but we have a great squad and look how good we are doing, just imagined that 50 mill spent on a couple more classy players like Cazorla and Podolski.

Great stats DB. The Gunners really played well yesterday. A little better finishing on chances and Arsenal are as good as any team in the BPL.
A little(well not so little)bird told me yesterday you may be at Finn's on Saturday morning. Any truth to this rumor?

There is only one rule when it comes to Finn's Club. First pint on me.

I figured we had £30-35mil now. Will be interesting to see what the number is. Still important for us to have a Champions League buffer. Will be a lot of competition for that 4th spot this season. I do think we might make a January move or two, but we won't use all of whatever funds are available. With the way we've started and the players that were on the market at the end of August, I'm not displeased we decided to hold on to the cash. Besides in the midfield, we're pretty deep at every position, and with the imminent returns of Wilshere, Frimpong, and Rosicky, we're about to be very deep there too. I'm more upset we were unable to clear out more of the dead weight hanging around the club. I don't know if this is their strategy or not, but this way, we actually have the cash reserves to place a bid on a world class player.

Some stats from @DarrenArsenal1:
Hopefully we can use these numbers to get some more commercial deals.
quote:
re Arsenal in China re Baidu popularity rank (Chinese Google) ranks Arsenal 1st, MUFC 2nd and Chelsea 3rd in search popularity ....
Arsenal are ranked 2051 in terms of the Alexa rank on China for websites, MUFC ranked 206,000.
Hopefully we can use these numbers to get some more commercial deals.

I feel like this weekend was the point where I have become fully emersed in being an Arsenal fan. I currently have 4 teams that I am rooting for: LSU, Saints, Arsenal, and Dynamo. One ugly win, two awful losses, and a draw. I'm still smiling this morning because of the result that I would have once called "like kissing your sister".

Ok, I'm going to respond to a lot of posts here:
1. That Per gif is awesome. His first reaction is to pull his shorts up really high
2. I forgot about Finns this weekend. I'll be there!
3. When I toured the Emirates there was some fan group there from China. I think it was Szechuan but I'm not sure.
4. I think we need a winger, especially if Theo leaves.

From @leon_mann
I like Theo, but I don't think he has the requisite skills to play CF. Not sure what top club would let him play that position.

Just had a very interesting chat with Theo Walcott at @FA's Just Play initiative. He wants to stay at #AFC He wants to play as a striker
Walcott was very clear that issues with contract weren't to do with money as widely reported.

If you put him in the same position as Gervinho while he was up top I would think Walcott's end product is better. He can shoot better, and he can actually get off a cross past a defender.

That's dumb. Pretty much every club in the world would have taken his production last year from their winger. I think he's very good out wide.
I don't think he has a good enough first touch to play CF. Though I think his movement has improved enough that he could be good enough in that area.

I did say start, not play FYI.
And even when he has come in against tired defenders he's looked very poor so far this year
Eta: also when I say top club I mean top 10 worldwide, ars, ch, manu, city, RM, barca, Juve, psg, bay, BVB

Yeah I know, he's good enough to start for us. Juve and Chelsea want him. Barca thinks he's our best attacker...
