Jenkinson has improved more than I've ever seen anyone improve in a similar time span. Clearly he's worked hard to improve. Was MOTM today for me.
He has to be the new Alex Song in that regard, except his growth has come in the space of a year instead of four.

He styled all over Lescott's arse a handful of times*. I agree, he had a solid performance and showed, maybe for the first time, what Wenger sees in him.
*though Lescott scored a goal against us, so, he sorta wins the day.

This is why I love soccer. Four different countries in that one picture (not counting background players).

I feel a little bad, but also thought it was funny when Walcott went back to check the lineup sheet again.

I thought it was interesting how Arsene was waiting around to shake Yaya's hand. Also was cool to see the countrymen fraternize before the match. Wish I knew what Yaya was saying to Gervinho. Cazorla and Silva seemed to be best buds.

I did think the pairings were funny.
Yaya & Diaby then Gervinho :nb4racist:
Silva & Cazorla
Podolski & Mertesacker with... Dzeko? some tall eastern european I'm not sure.
Oddly enough I like Joe Hart more now, seemed like he honestly wanted to stay and say good game to every player on the other team & Wenger. little things.
Also the Man city players coming out at half time "oooh Manchester, I love the weather here.. gonna kill myself"

I think that was actually Djourou.

Ramsey looked fit. Thought Giroud played excellent at the end. Arteta did well, but he had a few bad passes.
I love gerv, but he just chokes sometimes.

I know it was just just a 2 to 3 touch move, but when Giroud chested down a clearance from Mannone -- while Kompany was grinding on his back -- and dished it to Gervinho(?) ... my pants got tight

That was a fantastic play. At times our football is breathtaking. Thought we played a really good match and certainly deserved atleast the point we earned. So different from the start of the last campaign.

Santi and Silva are adorable.
ETA: Tried to listen to the video but with the audio you can't make out what Yaya is saying. He tells Djourou that he's looking strong, and I think he might have asked Gervinho to "jog his memory" ... "so that he would understand"... idk. Maybe that City would win or something. Again, it was impossible to make out with the audio.

Silva is tiny and towers over Santi.

We've got the early morning ESPN2 game vs. Chelsea this weekend boys! It's at The Emirates so we better take care of business. Will be interesting to see how we deal with their quick, tricky attackers. Per has been magnificent, but I wonder if Kos and TV5 will get a run out together Saturday. Arsene did say this post-game:
But before that, Capital One Cup on Wednesday vs Coventry City (where we just sent Conor Henderson). I wonder what lineup we will throw out there. Djourou and Miquel should get a run out at CB. Maybe Yennaris and Santos at the full back positions. Guys like Walcott, Arshavin, Chamakh, and Coquelin could use the run out. As for our reserves, many of the older fringe players have been loaned out. Maybe Eisfeld and Gnabry make the bench? Ebecillio and Olsson are two other possibilities.

We have three classy centre backs, and it is a very difficult choice. Koscielny, Mertesacker and Vermaelen - no matter who is left out can feel it is not right. But I will rotate them and take into consideration the strikers we will face.
