Good God, a stretcher for a guy who went down on his own?

I find it very difficult to believe Huddersfield are not down to 10.

That goal made the rest of this crappy performance worthwhile.

Torreira has been the whole team on both ends of the pitch.

He's our best player and the best signing in the entire league.

If we see this out with a clean sheet that is a good day and something we would not have done last year.

I believe that’s Leno’s first clean sheet in the league, right?

Fantastic goal from Torreira. We weren’t at our best but thankfully we got the win. Had we not had those back to back misses early in the first it would’ve been a blow out

Emery hadn't put a foot wrong yet but today I have to question the way he set up the team. 3 at the back with 3 defensive midfielders against Huddersfield at home is too conservative. Worked out in the end but we struggled to get 3 points from a poor team. I will say we looked tired out there. CB injuries will be a problem.

We don't really have a replacement for Ramsey and Ozil. Maybe playing Iwobi or Mkhi in the middle might have solved that, but neither are superb in the middle.

Anyone else thinking Iwobi on the ball is a liability? I’m not confident with him in the least.

Before this game, he has been our best winger. He had a couple of poor touches this game, but his technical ability is really strong. He's been able to combine really well with Kolasinac too.

Just a quick review of the seasons our summer signings are having.

Lucas Torreira - 30 mill euros - Already established himself as our best and most important player. Unbelievable player.

Bernd Leno - 25 mill euros - Really solid so far. Great with his feet and quick to sweep up behind our defenders. Does have the occasional mistake in him but is a really good shot stopper.

Sokratis - 16 mill euros - Really good this season. The tough no nonsense defender we needed. Great bargain.

Matteo Geundouzi - 8 mill euros - A future stud at CM. Still has to improve some things such as moving the ball quicker at times. Has an elite mentality and confidence.

Stephan Lichsteiner - free - Has been ok on the pitch so far. The toughness and leadership he has brought has been very valuable. He was the guy who started the fight with Spurs after their goal in the North London Derby. Love that.

I'm sure this is old news but figured if ESPN posted it there may be some validity.

Pursuing Bailly and Cahill in January.

Think Emery could still get a lot out of Bailly and may be able to buy low? Wouldn't be nearly as impressed with an old Cahill to go with an already aging CB pool.

Thoughts?
