What?

Of course they matter, but I'm not going to stroke one out over a community shield or an efl cup. UCL and league is what we're shooting for.

Lol, literally no one on here has said that.

I just think it's funny how all the United fans out there continually say they had a better season than we did.

Sure, United's season was by no means a failure in any way. League cup and the Europa League. Europa League is a big deal no matter what. That's a European trophy and while nowhere near the UCL title, it's still a big freaking deal.

But no City fan is going to lose sleep over United winning that. The Champions League and EPL title are our main goals. While we didn't win anything, I'll take 4 points throughout the season against United and finishing above them in the table....again.

I won't blame any United fan for not dwelling upon that either. They've had a good season in their own regard.

I'd say two trophies and Champions league is better than no trophies and Champions league

Such a little brother mentality esp when we knocked you out of a competition. You don't get trophies for finishing above your rival.

No it's not, not if you're a big club.

No, but I do get to constantly talk shite about being a more successful club over the last few years.

But you haven't been more successful....

United even when we are shite have won more silverware.....

Since 2013 United has won more trophies.

Just because you keep saying this doesn't make it true.

How many times has United gone further in the Champions League than City or finished above City in the table?

Like I said, anything else is just extra at this point.

The trophies say other wise, and we have won more, since City's moment in 2012.

You sound like Arsenal fans with your moral victories.

Hell Moyes took United farther in the champions league than Pep took City.

The point of the game is to win things. We still win more, cool you finished above us in the table. But you don't get anything for that except a pat on the back.

look, if im a decent team, id rather play in march madness and take my chances, then run the table and win the NIT.

You tried this dumbass analogy in another thread

City fans can't face the fact United had a better season in the grand scheme of things.

lol I've never said that analogy before..

What I have said before, which wasn't an analogy was why do you want to play in a lesser comp?

Why are you just going after City, why no mention of the spurs?

What would be the point of going after Spurs?

I think anyone would want that, but if we're talking about the success of this season only, know that United couldn't play anywhere but the "NIT" because of what happened pre-Mourinho. That's where the comparison breaks down.

I'd rather finish higher in the table than City, but if they get the same result (UCL qualification) and United get an extra domestic trophy out of it (albeit the least prestigious one), I'm fine with it.

I'd take third with no trophies if it meant United only finished behind Chelsea and Spurs.

Top four with the League Cup and the added security of a Europa League title would've been a fantastic season.

Pretty much it wasn't ideal

But Champions league and two trophies is better than Champions league and no trophies
