One thing is for sure around the 75th min and were down one goal, and Jergun looks at his bench, do you really think that a less than 100% Donovan is worst than Green or Davis?

Stupid tweet by his son, but lets be fair, he probably had about a million messages telling him his father was a POS for leaving Landon off. He reacted stupidly to troll those people.

I think Wondo will be pretty decent as a super sub. But the problem is that Donovan is really the only forward/attacking midfielder that has stepped up for us at clutch time in the World Cup. Bradley did it against Slovenia but isn't a forward. Dempsey "kind of" did it against Ghana in 2006, but not really.

Jurgen clearly feels, for whatever reason (form, fitness, attitude) that Landon is just not capable of doing it at this moment. Or not as capable as Wondo is at least.

Davis is getting a bad rap here because he's there for essentially what was (and could or, some believe, should be) Donovan's position. If Davis has to play anything more than 10 minutes, we're @#$#@. And frankly, how often do you have a deadball that you need his left foot for in the last 10 minutes of a game? Once? Twice if you're lucky? His inclusion makes zero sense in that regard. But I don't think he was taken over Landon. I think it was Landon vs. Wondo.

Yea, I'm mainly just venting a little unfairly at Brad Davis. His inclusion in the team wasn't the reason Donovan was left off. Davis for whatever reason is just Klinsmanns man. The fact that he is almost useless agienst the teams were about to play and that he won't see the pitch (nor will Green, besides a Germany run out if were loosing bad enough), and the fact that Donovan still has enough talent to come in as a sub and influence a game doesn't sit well with me.
