Yes this is the OFFICIAL AFRICAN CUP OF NATIONS SUPER THREAD.

We will occasionally post scores of the matches, comment on the corruption in African football, but more importantly we will all pretend to be the African fanboys we know from social media.

First game of today hosts Gabon 1 Equatorial Guinea 1

Burkina Faso vs. Cameroon now.

MUSLIMS IN ALGERIA FOR NEYMAR ~~~<3~~~~~~:)))))

I wanted to enjoy AFCON this year, but my beloved Bafana Bafana are nowhere to be found. Sad!

Moukandjo is awesome. Kind of a shame he's not somewhere better than Lorient, but I think that will change soon.

Shoutout to the Lions of Teranga of Senegal for actually winning a game. Forget match-fixing, all of these games are predictable draws.

When Jamie Carragher thinks you suck, then you probably suck.

quote:

“I arrived for pre-season training anticipating my first view of the players who’d turn us into title winners,” Carragher writes in Carra. “I returned home the same evening in a state of depression. Do you remember being at school and picking sides for a game of football? We do this at Liverpool for the five-a-sides. Diouf was ‘last pick’ within a few weeks.”
