This post speaks exactly to how I discovered Italian soccer and became fans of clubs.

Early 2000s ESPN soccer coverage was of ManU, Chelsea, RM, and AC Milan. Milan was a name I heard a ton then on Brian Kennys "Hot Take" which would cover Euro soccer with Tommy Smith.

Always viewed them as one of the "big" clubs... which I was predisposed to not like.

The more I watch Serie A... I like Roma and Inter. Inter has a wild fan base it seems. Roma has a lot of likable players IMO

Juve was more of a player watch for me. I can go either way about them personally. Being in UCL helps any club obviously.

I lived in Rome from 1997 til 2009 and still travel back and forth a lot and became a really passionate Roma fan after moving there. Hardly missed a home fixture for long time.

Juve, even when AC Milan or Inter were better, was still the club that you wanted to beat the most due to them simply being such "favored sons".

I will admit that they recently have had a lot of players that it's tough for me dislike like Pirlo, Marchisio, Buffon, Pogba, Dybala. Chiellini and Bonucci, I hate with a passion during matches but generally respect them and also think Chiellini is pretty hilarious with his antics and constant need of a "mozzarella wrapper" to stop blood gushing from a head wound.

Inter really made some good signings this summer. Mancini has come under criticism for not doing more but I think they're still a season and a couple of moves away.

That 2010 run to the UCL Trophy was awesome for Inter. All the soccer fans in NOLA are at Finns and two party buses show up. There must have been a big convention in town.

About 50 Inter fans get off and we all let them sit at the bar. It got covered in Inter scarves. I stayed after for hours drinking and watching the sheer joy they displayed. It was fantastic.

Inter had some horrid managers after Mou, really killed all their momentum.

When watching Leicester, the unsung hero of the team is the Villa castoff Marc Albrighton.

I remember when he was young and broke in, he was the future of Villa soccer, he would lead them forward. Underachieved, but was that him being over touted or was he an underachiever?

He goes to Leicester, and has been a big piece of their pie. Some big passes, assists, etc. Good to see him doing well, many guys who are supposed to be the next, never make it back, once they flop.
