Perennial underachievement has nothing to do with it?

Most treat City Wok the same way breh.

There has been some underachievement but it’s been oversold to the point of absurdity.

PSG are almost never in the soccer news in England.

Other than the Neymar move and when they crash out the UCL.

The English speaking media is an over saturation of United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and City.

Then the love affair of CR7 and Messi.

They still need a third midfielder to pair with Verrati and Rabiot. That could be the right sort of midfield to do well in Europe.

The Continent isn’t covered all that much in the first place. It’s not like Bayern or Juventus get heavy coverage either.

But when they do mention PSG it’s pretty much always with a negative slant.

Maybe bc you spend more than everyone other than City.

When you fail to meet expectations negative things are written about you. Welcome to the big time. If you don't like negative press don't support a state funded club.

It’s more than that, it’s a bias against the French club bc the English don’t like them.

When Bayern and Juventus are talked about it’s more neutral. City get some stick but there’s always a pundit or two that give the counter argument. With PSG it’s just a pile on when something bad happens and minimizing any achievement. It’s the same here for the most part bc Americans and the American soccer media take most of their cues from the English.

So the main source of English speaking media for the champions league, isn't good enough for you.

When Casemiro is on he can lock it up tighter than Dick's hat band....it is truly a thing of beauty to watch him play like he played today.

I think PSG fans are annoyed that some act like losing to Barcelona or Real Madrid is some kind of a disgrace

You aren't spending half a billion dollars to lose every year. You're spending that money to beat Barcelona and Real Madrid but you're not doing it.

It's not a "disgrace" to lose to those teams but it's embarrassing the ROI PSG has gotten on their considerable investment thus far.

I saw Casemiro play with Real against Inter a couple of years ago just before he broke through. He was a super impressive passer that game. Having a DM who can pass is pretty much the key in Europe.

Despite losing, the midfielders for PSG were really good. Real's spacing defensively was also really good, but PSG need a link player rather than another forward.

Generally curious, what publications do you get your PSG news from? While I don’t read the UK papers and have no idea if there is truly an anti-French sentiment in them, I’m not used to seeing gushy things written about them by Spanish or even French outlets... PSG is just not a likable club.

I’m sure that les Bleus will get tons of positive press in three months time.

If there is a anti french angle, maybe it's because there aren't but 3-4ish Frenchmen on the team.
