Damn, was hoping against all hope that the Superdome would sneak in this time.
Oh Well.

Really wish US was playing in Houston, would make that drive without a second thought.

No New Orleans, no care.
Screw you CONCACAF. Dumb asses excluded Seattle and Portland, too.

Yep. US group games are Tuesday (Frisco) - Friday (Foxboro) - Monday (KC).
*IF* Atlanta gets group A quarterfinals, those would be on a weekend.
I assume that MetLife is hosting the final.
All in all, not great for the traveling US fan. I might try to do Frisco.

I will prob make that one, depending on who they are playing. I love the atmosphere at Sporting Park.

Stadium isn't all that great and its way the frick outside of dallas. There is one pub within walking distance that was kind of fun, but its not somewhere I was dying to go back to. Give me Seattle or Portland anyday, at least there are other things to do in the city.

I know... I've been. I saw Frank Simek and the Justin Mapp All-Stars play a thrilling 0-0 draw with Guatemala back in 2007. Guatemala put 10 men behind the ball (IN A FRIENDLY) and left Carlos Ruiz up top to just flop and draw fouls. Easily one of the top 5 worst soccer games I've ever seen. At least as bad as that US-Canada game in Houston a couple of years ago.
The jerseys were sweet, though.
Anyway, we have friends in Frisco - which makes it (marginally) palatable. I'm hoping Atlanta hosts the group A quarterfinals.

Haha that sounds hilariously miserable.
Fun fact: I pledged a fraternity in college and Frank's brother was in my pledge class. I got to meet Frank one time. Holds a special place in my heart as the only American to register an appearance for Arsenal (until Gedion gets his shite straight).

I am down with Frisco. Let's see here:, Spring Creek BBQ, Shiner beer, watching USMNT kick arse, and drink more Shiner beer afterwards. Yep, I'm there.

If I weren't such a pansy about grown men wearing kits, I would have snapped up that blue kit. I finally got my first USMNT kit this year. The bomb pop. I love it. I wish that blue would be more prevalent in the future kits.
