Just looking at his Wikipedia, he had a hat trick against Millwall. So in his other 22 matches he had 2 goals. Sounds underwhelming.

Assuming this will probably be what gets the job done.....
I really didn't want to to spend 50 million for Sterling, but I'm not surprised they're doing it. It just gets me that literally no one else was willing to drop more than 25 for him. Just goes to show how desperate we are for the "homegrown" players.
Regardless, I'll buy a Sterling jersey ASAP if this goes through.
By the way, if Liverpool turn this down then they're actually retarted right? No way they get a higher bid than this I feel like.

I know the Daily Mail is kind of a joke, but they do have someone with pretty tight arsenal links. The past couple of years they've scooped everyone on accurate injury/lineup news the day before or the day of games.
Think the Times is saying it's done too, as well as some media types on their personal twitters. Of course everyone could be basing it on the Mail's report, which could very well be premature.

Or, as much as it pains me to say this, it could just be a classy move from the club, setting aside business interests and allowing a club legend to go to the team of his choice.
I keep waiting for some ulterior motive or unknown piece of information to emerge though

Cech also only has a year left on his deal. He could be that deadset on Arsenal that he told Chelsea he'd rather see out his contract and go on a free than go anywhere else.

I wish the best for Cech and he deserves to be treated well, hell I wish he still was our #1. With that said, we can't sell him to Arsenal and he has to be a professional and understand that.
