Seeing a few places (not sure how reliable) that United are preparing a £65M offer for James Rodriguez.

I've come to accept that we are not going to be world beaters with our defensive system (or lack thereof). Especially with little coverage from the midfield and with our fullbacks pushing up so high, we're gonna give up goals no matter who we have in the back. And that's what BR is willing to sacrifice with having a more attack minded and high pressing system.

Would love to see this happen, but I don't think it will.

the Mail is saying you guys are going after Ricardo Rodriguez, but that'd be wild after just signing Shaw. plus, it's the Mail.

You won't win the league by playing that way and will get torn apart in Europe. You guys will be very interesting to watch.

I guess we'll find out soon enough. BR's been a very fluid manager in changing things here and there and adapting to mistakes, but we know for sure he wants to attack so I think he's trying to get some of his players in there first. If we're still challenging for the league or Europe in a year, then he may look to upgrade our backline, which will be getting old by then

Would be epic if Real Madrid came in and outbid Barca at the last minute. Maybe di Maria would be more willing to join us than Sanchez.

would love it...

I saw RM and Juve may be working on a di Maria/Pogba deal, but these player swaps very rarely come to fruition...

Yeah, there's too many elements to negotiate like contracts expiring different years ect etc even if clubs actually do think about it.

It's probably conjecture following the logic that Juve wouldn't be easily persuaded to move any of their high € players unless they can bring in a Sanchez or Di Maria type talent for their new 4-3-3 by so doing. Morata, Iturbe etc they can easily just buy straight up without selling anyone.

A lot of fans of other clubs seem to be counting their Juve chickens before they hatch as well.

I'd be overjoyed if they sold both Vidal and Pogba but that seems highly unlikely.

I'm not completely convinced that they sell one of them.

yeah, apparently they're still going hard after sanchez. everybody has said he's going to us, so that'd be a big kick in the nuts.

definitely, unlikely anyone offers more.

i like trying to keep our best players for a fricking change, but 10 mil for a soon-to-be 28 y/o who may not sign a new deal in order to play in the epl is tough to turn down.

Just trying to spend like City

But I can't imagine this is true. For a while there were huge numbers being thrown around in relation to Cavani. That seems to have quieted down. I think there is some legitimacy to United's interest in Vidal at around 40 - 45M pounds though.

They have quietly dropped alot of coin so far.

I doubt United spends more on anyone that we did for Shaw. Some of these players release clauses are out of control.
