Manchester United are edging closer to bringing Juan Cuadrado to Old Trafford after Spanish newspaper Sport say an agreement has been made with the player.
Louis van Gaal is hot on the heels of the Fiorentina winger, but interest from Barcelona created a problem for the £36million-rated Colombian, which the front page acknowledges.

shite ton of money. i love cuadrado. kinda hate that you or barca would play him at RWB though. what a waste that would be. also, seems too independent, especially in that spot, for LvG's liking, but maybe i'm wrong about that.

we won't be playing a 3-4-1-2 forever. He'd slot in in nicely in a 4-3-3 in my opinion which LvG is trying to get the personnel for eventually.

true. he would fit a lot better there.

though what's the point of dumping zaha for pennies on the dollar (or nani, i guess) if you're reverting to a formation that suits them ASAP?

Honestly I'm not sure and I've seen about 3 different lists of players LvG has told to leave the club. No clue which is correct. He certainly has his own way of doing things that's for sure.

We need some more signings, I think we can all agree on that.

yeah. that's why it's hard for me to put you guys top 4 atm, even with your lack of games. you're very thin on talent. pretty much every spot but striker or no. 10 you're in real trouble if there's an injury.

Yep, I agree. I know it's frustrating having a season go down the tubes bc if injuries and lack of cover. REALLY want to avoid that. Surely some signings are on the way..

....surely.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is desperate for some proven strike cover for Daniel Sturridge after the loss of Luis Suarez. The Merseysiders were close to adding QPR's Loic Remy, only for the deal to fall through after the Frenchman underwent his medical. Could Eto'o be the short-term solution?

Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp has made it clear that Mats Hummels will not be leaving the club this summer. Manchester United have been strongly linked with the 25-year-old Germany centre-back, while Arsenal have also been credited with an interest, but Klopp has made Hummels his new captain and is not prepared to let him go.

Ajax defender Daley Blind says he would consider a move to Manchester United if manager Louis van Gaal decides to make a bid for him.

The 24-year-old is reportedly a target for Van Gaal, who coached the player during his time as boss of the Dutch national team.

This comes after another of the United manager’s reported targets, Thomas Vermaelen, joined Barcelona for £15m from Arsenal.

Blind revealed that he was happy at Ajax but admitted he had heard of the interest from the Red Devils.

“I am happy here in Amsterdam,” he said. “But if there comes another club I will have to think about it and then we will see.

Here is more on the news that Argentina left-back Marcos Rojo has handed in a transfer request to Sporting Lisbon and told the Portuguese club he wants to leave for Manchester United, according to Sky sources. Southampton were previously rumoured to be leading the Premier League chase for the 24-year-old before he was linked heavily to United over the weekend.

Jesus they're desperate.

Javi Garcia from City to Zenit almost done for £12m + 800k in addons, depending on how far Zenit advance in the CL.

Essentially traded Javi Garcia for Fernando.
