Lokoren (who?) want Liverpool-destroyer Amido Balde on loan with option to buy.
I really, really, really hope that Celtic takes it. He's fricking terrible.

Lambert is not a striker for a hipster formation.
Yeah, I was incorrect in that statement. Crazy had a couple great posts that more or less explain the differences between a real 9 and a proper false 9. Lambert is obviously not in the same mould as say Fabregas, or Totti.
In reality Lambert is a classic striker, but with abilities to fall back and play support. He is capable of, and has at times played the role of a false 9. Southampton did it, and he probably will with Liverpool. But that is a very different statement from saying that he is a false 9. Same way we wouldn't call Jose Enrique a goalkeeper simply because he played in goal against Newcastle a few years ago.

Just because he goes on loan doesnt mean they have to pay any of his wages

Considering the ownership, I would imagine NYCFC will pay as much as possible.
I imagine this mainly has to do with the domestic player requirements.
Gotta keep busting through the FFP glass ceiling. Such horseshite.

The professor saying what we are all thinking
quote:
Arsene Wenger is worried Manchester City's policy of buying up clubs around the world could see them side-step financial fair-play regulations.
quote:
But Wenger, who has always been a staunch advocate of financial fair play, believes the move could benefit City at the expense of Arsenal and their fellow title rivals.
"It is a surprise," he said when asked about Lampard's loan move. "After the statements we hear it is a surprise but it looks like all of these 'City' clubs will feed the main club Man City -- I heard they want to buy five clubs all over the world.
"I don't know the rules well enough but they brought a franchise for $100 million to play in the States to play next season.
quote:
"At the moment the players they sign cannot play until next year so they will register them in the clubs where they put them and they can get out on loan.
"Is it a way to get around the fair play? I don't know -- We are happy to dedicate the money to just run our club -- there is not a lot of surplus to run other clubs."

We are hearing Sunderland are in pole position to land Manchester City midfielder Jack Rodwell. Sunderland boss Gus Poyet is desperate to bolster his squad ahead of the new season and is determined to win the race for Rodwell's signature. Rodwell is well down the pecking order at City and they are thought to be willing to let the former Everton man leave the Etihad Stadium.
