UEFA say there's 'no (FFP) issue' with Man City bringing Lampard in on-loan from New York City FC - follows on from Wenger's comments

There could be an issue if City weren't paying Lampard's wages and letting NYC FC foot the bill but City insist that's not the case

From BBC

Manchester City will pay all of Frank Lampard's wages during his loan spell with the club

Sunderland have agreed a deal for Manchester City midfielder Jack Rodwell, Goal understands.

The Black Cats are expected to tie up the move in a package worth more than £10 million, taking the 23-year-old to the Stadium of Light.

Sky reporting that Rodwell is at the Sunderland training facility.

Looks like the Celtic move for Jeff Louis is official. 2.5 mill Euros.

ETA: Now there's a rumour that Standard are also in negotiations with him. Weird.

Navas to Real Madrid is official

So Madrid is sticking with separate keepers for the league and cups?

Going to City on that big money move def derailed his career. He was never going to play with that squad.

Happened to a lot of young promising English players at both Chelsea and City. Sinclair and Richards probably need to move as well, though I'm not sure if they can seeing as Man City is bare-thin in the homegrown department.

Milner wants out too, but for the reasons you mention... he may not get to go.. at least he plays more than the others..

He said his playing time this year will determine if he signs a new deal. City won't sell him b/c of home grown reqs but he is a good as gone on a free next year.

I imagine Milner doesn't want to be a sub any longer but that he's probably where he tops out as a player. He's good at a lot of things but not great at anything.

The market for good or even decent English players is so small that their value is going to continue to increase. It's hard to find quality to fill the homegrown slots.

Leeds United can confirm the signing of Zan Benedicic from AC Milan on a season-long loan with the option to buy, subject to international clearance. The 18-year-old attacking midfielder is a current Slovenian Under-21 international and at the start of the summer he was part of AC Milan’s pre-season tour of America. The youngster’s international career has also seen him play for Slovenia’s Under-17 and Under-18s. The midfielder is yet to make a competitive senior outing for the Italian giants but he played a major part of AC Milan’s Under-19 campaign last season, making over 30 appearances. Benedicic is United’s sixth signing of the summer and follows Marco Silvestri, Tommaso Bianchi, Gaetano Berardi and Souleymane Doukara joining the club from the continent. United head coach David Hockaday: “Zan is a versatile, strong and technical midfield player. He has massive potential and comes highly recommended by AC Milan.”

leeds have quietly brought in some technivally gifted players. if they can avoid getting robbie rogers'd by the brutal championship it will be interesting to see how it affects the team this season.

I read this as Romelu and was wondering why the hell Lukaku was going to Stuttgart

Glad to see Lukaku is going to be given a chance to be The Man at Everton, instead.

Real Madrid sold Jesus Fernandez to Levante

Guess they're going to sell Lopez and promote Pacheco. Or something. I don't know
