Me too, but he's playing lights out today. I don't think he's had an offside call yet 35' in. For Ade that might be a record.

De Jong is playing a lot better too. He was tentative and cautious against Blackpool. Tonight he's sliding all over the place and making good challenges.

as you should have been. He was disinterested and lazy. I am glad he is playing well today, but he has a long way to go to redeem himself to me.

The thing I am loving about silva is he plays with his head up all the time and sees two passes ahead. He is really dangerous especially with AJ on the field

Really man! Our offense is so much more creative when he's in the lineup.

He can be our Kaka, except about 50M cheaper!

If Silva doesn't enter the Blackpool game.

Seasiders win.

goal lech. their forward goes down in the box for nothing and play continues. should've been a foul against lech for a dive. falls to their other forward who puts it away. what a fricking joke of a goal

Not to mention the two terrible offsides call. The one that went against Taylor-Fletcher and the one that didn't get called against Tevez

I will say the officiating hurt Pool as much as Silva did.

I hear you and I'm not making excuses we played a great game in my opinion.

But if you don't think three huge calls went in City's favor and it ultimately decided the outcome of the game, then it's simply because you don't understand the rules.

Silva is the creative spark from the center of the pitch for City. He is a true talent.

The assessment:
Looked like a 4231
Ade
Johnson-Silva-SWP
viera-De Jong
Zableta-Boyata-Lescott-Richards

De Jong dropped in behind viera and was the more defensive of the pair. Defense held pretty well, but sketchy at times. Zabaleta moved up the pitch more than Richards. The standouts were silva, de jong, and Adebayor. Johnson also played well and showed that he is head and shoulders above SWP (Capello is a retard) with a combination of pace and trickery to attack a defender directly. Silva worked all over the place orchestrating the attack. He has a great ability to move into and pass into space. The ball to ade for the third goal was pure class and hit him dead in stride. De jong was patrolling the entire midfield making tackle after tackle to slow Poznans breaks. He started a little sketchy with one bad give away and another potentially bad one, but he gained confidence quickly and was great. Adebayor did a much better job of finishing his chances than in previous outings. Still offsides a bit for my liking but was good enough to secure the hat trick that silva and johnson made for him. AJ and SWP switched a fair amount but with no real effect.

Ratings:
Ade 8.5
AJ 8
Silva 9.5
SWP 7
De Jong 8.7
Viera 7
Zabaleta 7
Boyata 6
Lescott 6.5
Richards 6.5

It was a good game to watch, but you didn't miss too much.

Sunday is what matters. Resting Tevez is huge for City. Should be a great match. If Ade scores I will end it.

I don't know if he should even play. Playing ade and tevez together this season hasn't yielded good results for either as ade wants the ball and wants it served up to him perfectly like today. Getting them out there together and keeping them productive will require some tinkering from mancini. The 442 with tevez a little behind did not work because tevez ended up dropping too deep to be effective. The 433 against tottenham was pretty worthless except for keeping possession, but then you don't make much use of those in good form (tevez, ade, silva, johnson). Maybe a 4132 would be in order, but mancini would never go for that especially against a team that can dominate possession like arsenal. I would imagine they come out in the 4231 that they've run most of the season and then bring adebayor in around 60 minutes with a change of formation or straight swap for tevez depending on how the game shakes out.
