been all over the news here

quote:

Fifa is to put around 180,000 World Cup tickets on sale. Tickets are still available for all 64 matches in Brazil and they can be bought online as well as at the ticketing centres in the 12 World Cup venues across Brazil.

“As of midnight of Tuesday, 3 June, about 180,000 tickets will be up for sale on www.fifa.com/tickets, in addition to those tickets that are currently available,” Fifa said in a statement.

Russia is going to be even worse.

I'd be nervous too with their incomplete stadiums. I really hope they're all going to be structurally sound.

Same boat. Had the tickets awarded to me and everything. My Brazilian friends couldn't stop talking about how much cool shite they were going to show me. Then my brother and best friend both decided to get married within the start and end of the WC. I'll never forgive them.

150,000 are probably for every Group F game not involving Argentina.

How are the numbers compared to South Africa? I know there were a lot of unsold tickets there.

Good question but SA is much harder and more expensive to get to than Brazil.

I know the fan bases with huge followings did fine down there.

But to see tickets for all matches in Brazil is shocking.

One would think out of anywhere in the world Brazil would be the most popular. Once the gang crime, protest, and now stadium safety I guess it was enough to turn alot of people. Having said that I would still go if I could, and I'm sure whoever goes will have fun.

Just checked out the ticketing site. Still decent availability of Cat 1 tickets for US/Ghana if any of y'all want to make a last second trip.

Thats just absurd honestly it means the locals are not buying them.

Even the large traveling fan bases have what 15-18k fans at a game tops.

This is awesome news. Your bird is English, right? Your kid is going to have dual citizenship. He/she is so lucky.

Downside? Going to be raised to follow that shite club down the canal.

Also downside if he picks to play for Germany over the US then I'm going to talk all kinds of crap about him on a sports message board.

I'm going to the knockout 16 game in Rio on June 28, and that's it. Not something I mind paying for as it's once in a lifetime.

Actually the biggest downside is when he chooses to play for the US there is going to be multitudes of arguments on the internet about if he's really American or not, or just a mercenary.
