Basic human psychology.
Hence the reason ALL fans loathe rematches of evenly matched teams;
They favor the previous loser SO completely .
This game was LOST before it was ever played.
LSU was pyschologically MANY, MANY notches below Alabama.
They were dispirited and going through the motions.
Bama was playing with their hair on fire from the first whistle.
Had LSU had their shite together from a preparation/gameplanning/personnel standpoint they STILL would have had their asses waxed because they were psychologically unprepared.
Bama would have KILLED for victory, LSU was looking for a more comfortable spot on the bench.
Congrats to Bama for being prepared and executing and being superior in every respect.
Les/LSU fell prey to the most common factor in sports, they did NOT have the eye of The Tiger, they didn't have their collective mind in the game.
They were content with their previous accomplishments (13-0, already beat Bama etc) and were afraid to compete at the high level required by Alabama/BCSNCG.
They were beaten before the game ever started.
Congrats to Bama for going ALL IN.

21-0

(I've been looking forward to doing this after all the "9-6" replies I've received since November.)

I know it's easy to say, but I would have welcomed a rematch with LSU if we had won on 11/5.

This feeling that Bama had up to (and during) the game, should be bottled up and sold. It's great!

There were a few corndogs on here who said the same. Seriously, I would have liked to see both teams tee it up again around midnight last night.

It was bottled up. Last night it was like opening a frozen beer.

If you can't get it together for a National championship game, something is wrong.

and by the way, FSU and Florida had ANOTHER rematch. FSU kicked their arse after tying during the regular season. Same thing with OU and NEbraska. Games weren't even close.

Here's the horrible reality.
It's BOTH.
Human psychology AND "something is wrong".
That offensive performance was nothing short of CAPITULATION---on MANY levels.

It may have made it harder but there really is no excuse for the lack of offensive game planning, execution or any sort of adjustment.

Sure there is.
They CAPITULATED.
Psychologically first, every other way thereafter...
That's all I'm saying.
It was a complete SYSTEM FAIL.
