Not in the end tonight you weren't. What we had was two great giants - the two best teams in all of college FB - slug it out for 60+ minutes.
We won, but don't go diminishing the game by starting that "we were the better team" crapola. You may be, just not tonight in the end.
Both teams are great, both teams have awesome defenses. It went LSU's way tonight. Let it be.

Oh, please! Saban knows his team better than anyone else and managed the game about as good as he could have with the cards he held. Alabama is a terrific team. I've watched all their games except one and part of another and to be honest, I thought this was their best effort...yes, even in losing. Saban's problem is, he has a small handful of extremely talented offensive players and has built his scheme around them as he should have. His defense is solid and top notch but their special teams are lacking and from an LSU point of view, if you stop Richarson, Lacy and Maze then you have a very average SEC offense left over. LSU does'nt have a Richardson but is fortunate enough to have an abundance of talent across the board that runs deep. Saban was smart enough to recognize this was going to be a low scoring game and knew a field goal could be the difference. I take my hat off to him and his staff in a losing effort to a very good LSU team. I think this is the best possible matchup in the country and I'd love to see them meet again in the title game.

Im not sure we fricked it up that bad. Shoulda probably punted on a couple of those long field goals in the first half. LSU made the plays to win. They beat us on our field. Not too many ways we can sugar coat it
