Some votes were being objected to. Certain States where Trump lead and voting halted, and then after voting resumed, Biden lead. There resulted a real possibility that some State's could have gotten sent back to their legislatures.

Such a move would have unleashed a required full foresenic audit of the votes by those State's legislatures. One that could not be objected to or halted. It would have certainly found the fraudulent ballots.

Once the Fedsurrection happened, it stiffled opposition when certification resumed and the cover-up was complete.

Pence had the authority to return the votes to their legislatures but was compromised. He failed our Constitutional Republic.
