You almost make a good point... yet don't.

What you wear to some functions matter.

As someone who was in the military, I can assure you that wearing the correct uniform and ensuring that uniform fits well, is clean, etc. has nothing to do with being effeminate-- or masculine for that matter. It's a matter of decorum and etiquette. It's a matter of pride, dignity, and respect for the position you hold and the people you represent.

And lest you think the military is a special case, think about legal proceedings. It's not a problem if you meet your attorney on the weekend to discuss your case and he shows up wearing a black t-shirt or a budweiser t-shirt. But how would you feel if he showed up to court to defend you wearing the same t-shirt? Most people would be pissed off... because it would suggest to the judge and the court at large that he doesn't take your case seriously.

Moving on to Zelensky, if this were an informal meeting at Camp David or Mar-a-Lago, a black t-shirt wouldn't be terrible. But meeting in the halls of government to negotiate geopolitical issues is a different matter. And when he has at least put on some sort of jacket to meet other world leaders in the past, but chooses to wear a t-shirt in front of American dignitaries today, he is making a tacit statement. It is disrespectful.

The only part of your post that is true is that our fathers wouldn't have talked about it. They would've been more inclined to throw you out themselves if you showed up to an event being inappropriate.

How can somebody be so stupid and yet think they are a good poster making good points all at the same time? You are a seriously confused dude... or more likely, dudette.

Imagine really believing that people in earlier times were somehow LESS concerned with things like formal conventions.

Imagine having to knight this hard for some weird play-acting clown.

I wore a shirt with a collar as a tourist in the White House. If I was meeting with the President and other world leaders to negotiate the end of a war that has claimed over a million lives...I would have worn a suit.

A black shirt!?? Oh no!!!

At least it wasn’t a tan suit.

If attire does not matter, maybe Trump should show up in his boxer shorts.

Everyone would've been dressed appropriately so there would've been no discussion.

If he did, MAGA would celebrate. "This will trigger the libtards!"

That's the irony of this whole thing, nobody here actually gives a f*** anymore about decorum, certainly not about dress code.

This is classic faux outrage, only this time it's not even remotely believable.

I mean it's true.

MAGA is totally letting him off the hook for the Epstein fiasco but wearing a t shirt would be too much???

Trump should have a suit made for him and have someone give it to him with the press there with a message that says when you've changed in to adult clothing we can talk like adults.

It was a reporter who called out his attire last time, Trump jumped in to defend him "I like his clothes".

If Trump doesn't give a shite as long as a deal gets done, why do any of you?

Because a right wing social media influencer told them to be.

And he used the word “BREAKING” and the alarm emoji, so clearly it’s really important.
