Putin is a prototypical dictator but let’s not forget that he was handed a reason for the invasion on a silver platter:
- In 2014 the US orchestrated the overthrow of a democratically elected President via CIA and USAID meddling (granted the guy was corrupt but newsflash everybody in Ukraine is corrupt).
- That President was aligned with Eastern Ukraine and friendly to Russia
- The new government cracked down on all things Russia to include banning the language.
- Crimea and Donbas both had local elections where 90% of the population (granted with Russian support) to succeed from Ukraine.
- That began an 8 year civil war where the now infamous Anzov Battalion committed significant war crimes to include shelling civilians.
- The Biden Administration made public statements about allowing Ukraine into NATO and funding Zelensky’s army.
- Zelensky then massed his Army not outfitted by the United States to forceable retake the break away Donbas Putin started the invasion.
So had we not meddled in the election and made the blunder of public endorsing Ukraine joining NATO none of this would have happened.

Lol are you attempting to project this into reality? The poll from CBS and CNN, two decidedly left wing outlets, immediately after his speech range from 79% to 63% in agreement or approval of him depending on the question or issue asked. This is with only 51% of repubs making up the pool of those questioned.

His approval ratings are, in fact way up currently.
He's "reading the room" more accurately than he did during his last tenure. He's become a human weather vane and gauges the needs of the country. While the Dems are literally on the wrong side of every issue currently.

An actual honest attempt at gauging his overall approval in the US would likely put it somewhere between 60-65%. Rasmussen is likely the best and most reliable ones who have attempted this but so much of it weighs heavily on the framing of the questions asked as well as the methodology used and how you weigh responses based on that.

Also, it certainly IS forgivable. You’d have to be quite a pussy to consider a verbal insult unforgivable.

Your range in post quality is a mystery to me. No, in fact I do find it unforgivable to do this in the oval office to the people youre entirely reliant upon not just for you to still have a country at all but for ensuring youre even left alive once negations end.
Does this make me a pussy? Well I fought in Iraq for 13 months and Afghanistan for 12 months before turning 21 I left the military intelligence service under the banner of JSOC and the army 101st. Going to be a hard case for you to make.
