YouTube just censored another one of Prager University’s educational videos, and this time YouTube went after one criticizing censorship. Prager University also goes by Prager U. The video in question features Wall Street Journal columnist Kimberly Strassel, who explains common tactics leftists use to shut down free speech from conservatives, including intimidation, harassment, and blackmail.

Kind of proving her point.

What was YouTube’s reasoning for this censorship?

Liberals don’t understand the damage they are doing. People don’t believe the conservative points about dems wanting to censor them etc, until you start doing it in the open for everyone to see. Voters who fall in the middle aren’t going to side with censorship.

This is what happens when the people at the top of Google/YouTube hire Obama sycophants.

Kimberly Strassel is one of the best reporters in the MSM FWIW.

Glad to see that YouTube after much pressure relented and allowed this video to come back online. They only helped to prove the point of this video with another tactic used by the left to silence conservatism. That tactic is called censorship which has been used by communists, socialists and progressives for more than a hundred years.?

I think they put it back up after there was some complaining. I remember hearing about this before.

I didn't realize your links were almost two years old and part of the whole PragerU thing.

Not only did PragerU lose their lawsuit against Youtube over this, it was never "censored" in the first place!

They had a few of their videos categorized as eligible for Restricted Mode base on the content being deemed a "Mature Subject".

It's okay if you've never heard of Restricted Mode. If you don't search it out and turn it on yourself, then it never makes a difference.

To all the progs who make the argument that Youtube, Twitter ,etc are private companies and can do what they want, just let it be known if thats the case then no baker should have to bake a cake for some figs if he doest want to and no private school should have to except minorities if they dont want to because they are a private company as well.

found this about the prager lawsuit.

quote:

“At first, we thought it might have been an algorithm or an innocent mistake causing our videos to be restricted,” Craig Strazzeri, chief marketing officer for PragerU, told The Daily Caller News Foundation weeks ago.

“However, we have it in writing from Google/YouTube that after having their team manually review our restricted videos, they deemed them inappropriate for younger audiences,” Strazzeri said. “If you’ve seen any of our videos, they’re very educational, and are very appropriate for ‘young viewers.’”
