Ok well when your kid's teacher hands out snacks to your kid, youd like to be able to know that it doesnt have poison in it. Id love to be able to go out with friends and family to dinner and know that my food hasnt been cooked and soaked in soybean oil.

As much as I hate taxes, and I can’t stress this enough, I hate fricking taxes, the only real way you combat this is to either eliminate the option (which id never advocate for) or add a national surcharge on a sliding scale equivalent to the amount of added sugar.
You’re welcome to make a poor decision, but you’ll pay for it because eventually your shitty dietary decisions will put you at higher risk for diseases that tax the healthcare system.
Processed foods should be banned from SNAP benefits, also. We have the most obese poor population the world has ever seen.
