The "news" in the OP has been true for decades. People don't like SS when they're paying for it, they like it very much when they get close to receiving it. It has nothing to do with Boomers, and no generation will be different when they approach retirement age.

What's their position on student loans and having the boomers pay them off in a loan forgiveness package?

No, I will thank the greedy selfish Boomers (who btw my generation is paying for all their Entitlements and handouts) who are going to bankrupt SS and Medicare.

I'm Gen X, mensa.
If you think your generation will magically agree with a bunch of 30 year olds on SS when you're 60 you're retarded.

The young Generations will never see a cent they are paying into this system, it’s broke in a few years, and the choices to save the system, at that point will be to print( and watch inflation skyrocket) , or raise taxes even more, and continue to Ponzi scheme can kicking…
Why is it a Ponzi scheme? I mean I paid into it for may years and then I got old enough to draw from it?

I'm not expecting or planning on any SS despite what I am paying in and that is the problem because the god damn Boomers are going to bankrupt the whole damn system. What about this do you not understand?

It’s a Ponzi scheme because I will likely never see that money

I'm turning 60 next month, and Social Security does need to be reformed.
Retirement age has got to be increased and/or the taxable cap has to be increased or removed.

Many of Bernie Madoff's investors got paid for decades. Doesn't mean it wasn't a Ponzi scheme.

Zoomers and Millennials are lost causes. They'll vote Democrat forever.
More free stuff while criticizing older folks for doing the same.

This isn’t the Boomers fault. It’s the generation before’s fault for dumping SS receipts into the general fund and then still not staying in that expanded budget.
This problem is representative of all government spending in a representative government. Every constituency is milked for their votes by promising them money from the government.
No reform to SS! Student loan forgiveness! Government backed mortgages! Government healthcare!

I'm just a handful of years away from retirement but I absolutely realize it needs to be reformed.
I'm on the very end of the Boomer generation (Born 64) and realize its an anchor at this point.

The older generations don’t care what they leave behind. Particularly the boomers. They’ve already left us worse in almost every way than they had it

The same boomers who had money taken from them for 40 plus years? I would have loved to have had that money and the employer match in a 401-k. I'd have been way ahead. Plus, it would be my money to invest as I wish and if I die my wife inherit instead of a $255 check.
Bush tried to reform Social Security and I was for it. But he was vilified by liberals.
But you'd be fine with me paying for your college.

I'm pretty sure if we only counted the votes of those 50 and up Trump would be president, not Biden.

Who have you voted for in your Congressional and President races?

Lyndon B Johnson. Thank you again a-hole.
