Z thinks making veiled threats will work. He’s sorely mistaken.
We should get Z and Putin in the same room and negotiate a deal that keeps a US peacekeeping force in place to extract the minerals that cover our investment + interest. Then, dip out and let the Russians keep the claimed areas.

Anybody implying it meant anything besides "Russia will eventually come for you" are either being intellectually dishonest or have zero critical thinking skills. I can disagree with Z's point without abandoning all integrity and pretending he said something he didn't

Sounds to me like he was saying the USA is safe and insulated from attack by the Atlantic Ocean. And if Russia controls more of Europe, then the USA will be less safe. Just a matter of time.

It doesn’t necessarily mean that Russia would start an armed conflict, but they absolutely are a destabilizing force in the area. Basically think of much much more meddling in other peoples shite once they are done with Ukraine.
The reason it may have seemed more personal is purely recency bias of not great relations the last month. Z’s talking point has always been what Russia does in Europe will effect us even though there’s an ocean between us.
