I retired to Telluride and my neighbors are mostly liberal but we all get along. Lots of kidding bac and forth but all of us agree to disagree on political things. We hunt and fish together and have bbqs and nobody demonizes anyone else.

At least where I live the Repubs outnumber the Dems by a great number. My 3 closest neighbors are/were all cops. Feels like the movie Copland with all the cops in the neighborhood, at least 9 or 10 out of 70 households.

IN Georgia as well. Cities are lib as the norm with all the young college grads, software devs and blacks making that up. However, in the burbs, used to have a yuge advantage. that is changing now. Alot of people continue to move here for the economy and it's changing that demographic very fast. 2020-2022 could see the sides equal out. I am stunned at the number of rich white soccer moms that are white hating SJWs. They have money, no job and live to create some kind of pearl clutch moment to justify their lives.

My granddaughter recently moved to Breckenridge and is becoming aligned with the liberals in that area - mostly on gun control. I see a definite transition in her Facebook posts (only reason I have a FB account is to keep up with the grandchildren) I'm not about to challenge her on FB and it will be a while before I see her again in person.
What motivates a highly affluent, well educated, high work skilled people to fall for the DEM agenda that is primarily dependent on maintaining a dependent group of grievance ridden claptrap??

I miss when Destin was a quiet fishing village, "30A" was mostly wilderness (+the dot of Grayton), Ft Walton was all air force, and you went to Pensacola and Panama City to see people (and more air force).
