if your income is under $400k

So says Business Insider.

quote:

People who make less than $400,000 a year shouldn't be affected by the higher taxes proposed in the bill.

The bill will be funded by higher corporate taxes, savings on prescription drugs through Medicare, and IRS tax enforcement, among other things, the bill's authors say. They say taxes shouldn't be higher for anyone with less than $400,000 annual taxable income.

Kimberly Clausing, a tax professor at the UCLA School of Law and former senior Treasury Department official, previously told Insider that the average American's tax bill is "absolutely" not going to be affected under the legislation. "Are you a big corporation that earns over a billion dollars and pays less than 15%? If not, there's no increase in your taxes," she said.

"As in any legislation, there's gonna be winners and losers," Marc Goldwein, senior policy director of the nonpartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, previously told Insider. "But I suspect there's gonna be a lot more winners than losers and it's going to be a broad set of winners."

The American people may or may not get hit directly, but will definitely get hit indirectly. Our standard of living will go down while these idiots can sit there and play word games with where the money went. They think they're so damn smart.

Yep, corporations and large companies ALWAYS pay 100% of the taxes they get hit with. They *NEVER* find loopholes or exemptions or merely pass it down to the consumer by higher prices. Nope. Never.

savings on prescription drugs through Medicare

How does this help me as an employee at 40yrs old?

and IRS tax enforcement

Enforcing taxes more? They lost me here.

among other things

Cool story, bro.

the democrats love that $400k number as their dividing line but usually that number is for married/family income whereas $250k is usually the less revealed cutoff for single filers. $400k must be their polled dividing line between what their constituents consider rich and poor

Even if that was somehow correct, it’s not of course, the higher inflation coming still will knock out a lot of lights. Literally and figuratively!!!!

What about the money it costs for me to buy products? Indirect taxes are still taxes.

...which will be passed on to the customers of those corporations who make less than $400k

savings on prescription drugs through Medicare

Who writes this shite? How are "savings" on prescription drugs funding a single fricking thing?

quote:

, and IRS tax enforcement

And, I suppose they're going to be told to leave those under $400k alone?

Bad news though: Your next iPhone will cost more, your Amazon Prime membership is going up and all those Teslas we want you to buy? Yeah, about that ...
