I'd love to know where/when this secret meeting was held for all Republicans in which a pact was made to always vote the same, regardless of issue.
Democrats seem to find this meeting just fine.

but if you are old enough to remember where the party once stood on some issues. You would realize how wrong your statement is.
The great Democratic shift rightward is what led to the Revolution of '94. The Republican party hasn't experienced anything like that since the 90's. The entire political spectrum was heavily leaning to the right in the mid-to-late 90's, but that never changed where the moderate Republicans resided. Case in point, the likes of Specter, Chafee, and Kassebaum were considered center-right then, and they would be considered center-right now. The main difference between the party then and the party now is there was no staunch division that crippled the Republicans in the 90's. You could be moderate in the 90's and still be considered Republican.
The Tea Party wasn't created because the party was drifting to the left, otherwise that would've happened at the beginning of Bush's second term, when Democrats were walking all over Republicans in traditionally conservative districts.
The far-right jolt known as the Tea Party was spurred by the election of Obama as a kneejerk reaction to "hunker down" and fend off his presumed-socialist agenda. By being so anti-Obama, the Tea Partiers distanced themselves from the moderates to the point where any Republican nowadays has to be defined as either Tea Party or non-Tea Party.
This is the reason the Republicans don't stand much of a chance in the future. There can be no compromise with Tea Partiers, lest you want to be labeled as a "traitor." Yeah, that's really healthy for a political party.

There JUST was a thread linking an article where the Democrats had given up on the House and were pooling resources to HOPE to hang on to the Senate.
Some of you either 1) believe what the Democratic-sympathetic media feeds you, 2) can't grasp that political winds always change eventually, or 3) are young or new to politics.

The reason several of us are unwilling to compromise is that we are sick of getting screwed. It's not that we side one way or the other on all sides, but each of us have our issues that we are tired of. I'm sick if getting my arse up every morning at 5am and working hard to move up in a company only to give my hard earned money away to someone unwilling to work for theirs. It's not always an unwillingness to compromise is an unwillingness to continue getting fricked with no lube and not even a "thanks that was a great piece of arse."

Seriously, the Tea Party does NOT represent the entire partisan scheme of the Republican party.
It is funny how you refer to them as "traitors," though.
My favorite thing about the poli-board is, whenever someone makes a really good counterpoint, it's often ignored.

Sorry bro, it's called Taxes and you pay on average less than the rest of the developed world.
Having said that.
Major Welfare reform is needed.

I don't mind paying taxes for necessities. I mind forking over my hard earned money to incompetent people that are unwilling to put forth any effort in life.

Do all tea partiers like you despise "RINOs" more than Democrats?
yes

You can't expect complete solidarity on every issue just because Republicans are supposed to hate Obama, especially on social issues.
RINOs typically are against Obama on social issues while libertarian-types are more aligned with Obama

This is largely from the emergence of the Tea Party sitting so far right that a push left had to be made.
the GOP of Bush was pretty far left already

yes it was. Bush's TARP policy was the straw the broke the camel's back (he set this up with his Medicare expansion)

Wait, so you are happy with the direction the country is going, and you are a Republican?

Maybe you should do your research a little better next time.
