I'm on the Trump Train and even I don't think we're in the bounds of 'conservatism' anymore... and, in the moment, I'm okay with that... Conservatism was turning into a skidding version of progressivism anyway.

I get that. I’m talking about people with tds who just claim they’re conservative yet get mad over the smallest stuff others do like making a post here and using your freedom of speech

I stopped calling myself a "conservative" years ago when I realized that conservatives weren't actually conserving anything. Dubya tried to slip a massive amnesty in, remember? John McCain's advisor openly stated that Mexico and the US southwest were not seperate distinct countries but "one region" and we should accept and embrace that. Oh, and Spanish as a co-equal national language. It was conservatives that took my vote and then told me to shut up and bow to my betters. It was conservatives that started "The Bulwark" and "The Lincoln Project". It was conservatives that made a mockery of the term "The conservative case for *X*".

If true, then many of Trumps policy positions would be formally codified into law by Congress. Honestly the only policy position that Trump clearly supported during his campaign that is now the law is the release of Epstein information, almost everything else has been by XO, which can be reversed.

If a third term was permitted, and the only people who could vote would be members of Congress in a secret vote, Trump would lose to Obama 2:1. I’ve come to accept that Republicans privately hate Trump, hate what he stands for, and hate me for sharing the same beliefs as well.
