I mean. If you think at all about it, if a person believes that statues related to certain people are problematic.........then it would be wholly irrational to think literature about them(unless in a 100% negative light) should be removed from the public sphere too. I mean, surely statues aren't more dangerous than actual written positive things about the people the statues represent.
And, I mean. In case you haven't noticed. It's not going to stop with confederates. That genie is already out of the bottle.

That's the logical endgame motive.
A slow methodical deconstruction of certain freedoms granted by the Constitution.
I'm not talking tearing it up, but they will use this to rationalize censoring certain speech, banning guns, limiting what we read and learn, limiting how we can act and live, etc. etc. All with the purpose of creating a more subservient and dependent society on the back of an ever expansive statist government with ultimate control by an Oligarchy.
Some would say this is already close to what it's like. But I'm talking much much more restrictive than it is now. Like actual socialism and communism pervading our society.
We are on that path.

I don't give a damn about any statue. Those can be had. The logical and obvious next step down the line reaches back to the founding fathers.
If you delegitimize them, the you inherently do so to the documents they produced.
That's a goal in Marxist circles. Once that happens, I think you will see the country literally break apart.
