How does telling people to follow the law and Constitution constitute a violation of that statute?

Because that is not the sum total of what they said.

Only if you're intentionally misinterpreting their message, likely for partisan/team-based results.

I typed out the problematic part yesterday or the day before. It wasn't an interpretation issue.

Honestly, their message would have been above board, if cringe, but above board had they omitted the part we debated already.

The problem for your argument is there is no problematic portion.

They worded this intentionally intelligently, and it's causing this response

Just let it die. The whole point was to evoke a retarded response by the MAGA infrastructure, which it did, which is why you saw the quick pivot to "omg Trump didn't name them!"

This cope-spin via the Dennis Reynolds rhetoric is even worse.

Is it your position that members of the US military should NOT be reminded that they are not obliged to follow an illegal order?

Such a stupidly based question deserves nothing but ridicule.

Every member of the armed services gets schooled intensely on the proper way to respond to the chain of command.

They do not need to have lying, politically motivated, tongue in cheek, corrupt and amoral, wannabe online influencers making snide remarks about how to respond to orders from their superior officers.

They got this - in spades.

The incredibly idiotic statements made by these democrat wannabes should be the object of ridicule - and, given their positions in the legislature, should be sufficient to have them kicked out of any office of authority in the USA - those with military backgrounds should have all their honorariums revoked and subjected to public humiliation, with no possibility of ever holding any office of governmental authority or honor.

In fairness, I do think that you actually believe that advising members of our military to follow the law does constitute an invitation to insubordination.

That is a monumentally stupid thing to believe, but I do think you hold that belief in good faith.

In summary, you agree with the proposition that only the people issuing illegal illegal orders should be allowed to remind service members that they are not obligated to follow illegal orders.

OK

That is not the full text of their PSA. You know it, I know it.

I tried googling the full text and can't find it (I wonder why)... The part that was a problem I did happen to type out in a thread on it.

bullshite - bullshite - bullshite

This crossed the line - and gave the finger to the whole military establishment in the process.

All for advancing the ONLY democrat action they have left === promoting seditious behavior from the entire population.

Nobody with any moral backbone or vision of honorable service should be silent with such a public and loud dishonorable statement such as this - all doctored up with sinister trappings relying on clumsily disguised 'reminders' of their sworn duties.

Next they'll line up to soberly and publicly remind the armed services to be sure and not shoot themselves in the foot.

You know the motive behind this statement - just as they knew exactly what mischief they were suggested - and for you to have any response other than absolute contempt for it gives away your not-so-skillfully-disguised devotion to the DEMOCRAT narratives of abject lies, misinformation, obstruction, and discontent.

sure. It took one search and less than 30 seconds.
quote:

We want to speak directly to members of the military and the intelligence community who take risks each day to keep Americans safe. We know you are under enormous stress and pressure right now. Americans trust their military, but that trust is at risk.

This administration is pitting our uniformed military and intelligence community professionals against American citizens like us.

You all swore an oath to protect and defend this constitution. Right now, the threats to our constitution aren't just coming from abroad, but from right here at home.

Our laws are clear. You can refuse illegal orders, you can refuse illegal orders, you must refuse illegal orders. No one has to carry out orders that violate the law or our Constitution.

We know this is hard and that it's a difficult time to be a public servant, but whether you're serving in the CIA, the Army or Navy, the Air Force, your vigilance is critical, and know that we have your back, because now more than ever, the American people need you.

We need you to stand up for our laws, our Constitution and who we are as Americans. Don't give up, don't give up, don't give up, don't give up the ship.

Sincerely, thank you... I couldn't even get chatGPT to pull it up.

Here is the part that I take issue with,
quote:

This clearly sets up an us vs them scenario.

Thanks for a response that reveals your vacuum of integrity and honor.

Go ahead and be the butt-licker for any democrat narrative scam they choose to launch.

We all know it is 'legal' - but it is up to you to prove it is not dishonorable.

you fail at that -

and just so you'll understand
