refer to this event as personnel "replacement."

That’s what it is. It’s just 8 months late because Boeing is in the shitter and NASA is largely incompetent.

It’s asinine to frame this as a rescue. They’re just fine up there and have been resupplied multiple times. It’s not like they’re in some derelict station that’s hurtling off into space. They’re at the ISS with other people.

They were supposed to be there for 8 days. They have been there for months because Boeing builds very expensive crap. They are fine because space x is supplying them. Please do not let the facts get in the way of your posts though.

I understand that. Just pointing out that they aren’t in need of “rescue.” I don’t even think they’ve been alone up there at any point. There’s always a crew at the ISS. Russian, American, European, Japanese etc.

shite, they’ve said that themselves

There’s nothing about the mission that is extraordinary. It’s a crew replacement—just one that is bringing back a crew that stayed 8 months longer than planned because Boeing sucks. People have been up there for longer periods because of similar issues. I think there have been cosmonauts up there for a year plus.

They can’t see, FL. “Behold, I have given them the spirit of blindness, eyes that the cannot see and ears that they cannot hear”. One can label it “confirmation bias “ or “cognitive dissonance “ but the bottom line remains the same. Earth 2025. Moving up the hard way.

It didn't blow up ? Space X has been pretty sketchy lately.

The test rockets that have not been successful are prototypes that are being tested for missions to mars and not the ISS. Big difference.

If the rescue rocket was owned by Soros this would be the next Apollo 13 liberal knob slobber movie of the year.

Choose your rocket dumbass

Falcon that launches successfully virtually every week

Some NASA rocket leaking juice everywhere built by a failing DEI infested aerospace company

How come nobody else did it sooner? When is the last time anybody came off the space station? If it was sooner than how long these people were there, why didn't they get brought back sooner?

Not only that, it would be the reason that OMB should executed immediately. Any of his supporters should be jailed immediately (oh I forgot that already happened) and then publicly executed.

I guarantee a large swath of the left would be giddy with excitement if a calamity occurred on the way back and the astronauts were all killed. Especially this unhinged piece of crap lunatic…

Because it wasn’t scheduled sooner. Prior launches were already booked or canceled, and specifically because there was no rush to get them back down, it was delayed until convenient. Boeing getting put on the bench factored in as well, as their missions were cancelled.

quote:

Because there wasn’t a need for it. They aren’t in distress. There was no need to borrow a ride from the Russians, Euros, or whoever else has been coming and going since they got there. They’re doing a job and took over mission responsibilities from cancelled flights resulting from Boeing’s failures or other future missions where the equipment may already be in place. They’re all partially scientists as well as astronauts.

It wasn’t and isn’t an emergency. And again, the two astronauts themselves feel exactly as I’ve described. Obviously they will be happy to be home, but this isn’t an Apollo 13 situation or anything approaching it.

Another poster predicts the woman won't live long after coming back because she doesn't have the bone density to be up there that long. Thoughts on this prediction?

We’ve had women up there longer than this before, by design, multiple times. As recently as 2020.

If that was a concern, they’d have gone up there and got her sooner.

Also, that other poster is a quasi-troll.

Maybe if Democrats pulled their heads out of the progressive echo chamber for two seconds, they’d see Elon’s out here saving the day while they're busy crying about microaggressions.

How dare you ask of the media to look objectively at the subject matter and apply logic!!
