Yair Netanyahu Urgently Extracted From Miami

This actually happened a few months back now, but the Shin Bet is just now acknowledging it happened today. Apparently there was an Iranian plot to kill Netanyahu in Miami that they considered urgent enough that he had to abandon everything he had and be flown back to Israel immediately.
How pervasive are Iranian threats on American soil? Iran had operatives surveiling his Hallandale Beach residence and his comings and goings there.
Also, why do we allow foreigners to buy properties in America? This shouldn't be a thing.

Of course it should be a thing. I own a house in the UK, and they benefit from that. A UK resident was able to sell his house, probably at a higher price than if foreigners were disallowed. And the government got extra tax revenue out of it.
