Wuhan lab admits to having three live strains of bat coronavirus

- The Chinese lab eyed as a potential source of COVID-19 has admitted having three live strains of bat coronavirus on-site — but insisted none are the source of the global pandemic.
- The Wuhan Institute of Virology has since 2004 “isolated and obtained some coronaviruses from bats,” its director Wang Yanyi said in an interview that aired Saturday, according to Agence France-Presse (AFP).
“Now we have three strains of live viruses… But their highest similarity to SARS-CoV-2 only reaches 79.8 percent,” Yanyi said, referring to the coronavirus strain that causes COVID-19.
- Yanyi trashed the conspiracy that the pandemic started in her lab — one pushed by President Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo — as “pure fabrication.”

Considering there are online articles praising Dr. Shi ZhengLi for her ability to obtain new bat viruses - the study and modification of bat coronavirus was a specialty of part of this lab. I have worked very hard to develop the ability to tell truth presented by media from a crock of made-up shite and clearly the article above is that - made-up shite. One clear giveaway is when there are 180-degree changes in the story from both the government and the news media. It looks like the official party line went from "we are world-class and can compete with the West in science" to "didn do nuffin". It reminds me of the Obama years and the Trump witch hunt. The Chinese people and culture are wonderful, but it is time for them to dump their corrupt and incompetent government as we try to get ours back under control.

China will eventually admit to letting the cat out of the bag but it won't be until long after the pandemic is declared over. By that time the news cycle will have moved on and the media will no longer care.

Actually, the chances are higher now - they have had 6 months to get the lab in shape, destroy evidence, and harvest organs from anyone that may not tow the party line.
I know the internet has been scrubbed of at least one paper written by the scientists at the Wuhan lab. The paper covered genetic modification of a bat coronavirus in 2015 that was done in conjunction with UNC. The UNC paper is still on-line.

We should send China about 3 dozen pregnant raccoons collected from the Potamic river basin for the 4th of July as a tribute gift for their valued friendship.
That should be enough to get a good culture of rabies going there and those coons would be permantly established wrecking their agriculture and shanty towns....

Is there anyone alive who still believes that this virus did not originate from this lab? How naive do you have to be to think that this came out of the Wuhan wet market?

One thing that I always find surprising when I visit China is the lack of wildlife. No deer, squirrels, rabbits. They do have snakes, freshwater eels, pigeons, and rats. I am convinced the missing wildlife has been eaten during past famines. I don't think raccoons would last long in the wild there. There is a portion of the population that sees any free protein as good protein.
