I looked at page 6. I'm not sure how you could back out increased economic activity generated by the tax cut
you need to offer some shred of specificity with questions like "how can you do this"
i thought you were asking about the last thing i posted, noting that withholdings have fallen
the answer to your question about estimating behavioral responses is by modeling that requires a good bit more deal data to construct and estimate. results can be sanity-checked by empirical work.
note that even the most optimistic dynamic modeling didn't yield an increase in economic activity that'd avoid a deficit from revenue changes alone

Well, what if my point was you simply posted a "what if" which actually bears no tie to reality?
How might you respond?

the evidence i have already brought ITT directly contradicts your evidence-free claim of a "point", so i suppose i wouldn't need to at all

individual income taxes increased by $104 billion, or 7.9%, despite the cut in individual tax rates.

I just hate that so many people had to die because of these tax cuts.

=/=

individual income taxes increased
nominal overall collections are up slightly (before that inflation adjustment sends them negative). and of course, without a rate cut they'd be growing at approx the same strong clip that they had been for years before this cut, if not a bit faster even than that
and of course, the 7.9% number is driven by a comparison that isn't apples-apples, because April's non-withholding receipts are for the previous tax year

Need more tax cuts if we want more revenue?

BUT . . .

individual income taxes increased 8% from last year

tax receipts aren't up 8%.
The claim related to individual receipts or individual income taxes.
Those claims come in a world where you and your imbecile progs claim the debt problem is we are not taxing individuals enough.

you posted those words verbatim
we can keep litigating your gaffe, but that'll get boring. i'd much rather you defend the following thing you said a minute ago, in light of the numbers based on monthly withholdings data since the rate changes took effect:

In response to someone posting something about bigger debt, you said the following about taxes, unqualified, as I quoted twice:
Tax receipts up 8%!
Then, I reiterated that tax receipts aren't up 8%, and you said, in caps, that no one was claiming that.
lol, just lol

I specifically responded to a post of yours where you indicated you thought I was incorrect. You indicated this by posting a gif, or meme, or whatever it is called.
This said, let me refresh your memory, and add (again) some specificity.
Model this year's revenue, backing out the increased economic activity generated by the tax cut, and model it using last year's tax rates.
I said virtually impossible. You said I am wrong. I maintain you really can't have a fair comparison without being able to provide what we could reasonable expect in tax revenue, using the previous tax code, and consequently, not having any increased economic activity based on the new tax code.
So go ahead and let me know exactly how I was incorrect, and exactly how I could possibly model that.
I'm not the economist, or the graduate of the LSU College of Banking. I'm just some salvage yard tycoon in Iowa, although that is just a passive investment of mine, as iosh and Lou Pai like to point out from time to time.
Educate me. Because I have some other questions, and some observations. And some facts I'd like to post whenever you come up with the modeling I say is impossible to come up with.
