You do remember when, just a few months ago, morons thought inflation wasn’t a thing even though it was. It will continue to worsen without trade deals.

3% is exactly what it was when Trump took over in January 2025 before tariffs. Before the quiet revision later that will put it in the 2's.

Of course his knuckle draggers take up for the fatass.

He's an obese Joe Biden when it comes to the economy.

I wouldn't spike the football on that just yet. I'm seeing several of my suppliers come out with statements recently saying they'd tried to hold steady, but it has become untenable and prices will go up.

And then there is this:

Consumer prices rose less than expected in September, government data showed Friday, clearing the path for further rate cuts from the Federal Reserve and suggesting that tariffs are not weighing on household budgets.

Don't show this to the mouthbreathers who pissed themselves in excitement at the biased Wall Street journal article.

Don't you have another no kings rally to plan?

Or are you too busy being outraged that Trump just tore down the entire white house?

I'm not sure there's much taking up for that needs to happen over 3%. That's not bad. Lower than what the previous administration averaged.

Unless you're making that statement just to trigger the segment of overly sensitive Trumpists, then I'll allow it.

It was trending downward into the 2s earlier this year. Something changed to bring it back up again. I wonder what that was?

If you want a silver lining you can say it’s slower than economists expectations. But how long do you expect that to last? How long do you expect businesses to eat tariffs and/or operate with lower margins? That’s a big gamble and it comes with serious risks.
