Lynn M. Paltrow, executive director of National Advocates for Pregnant Women, echoed those sentiments.
“The argument is that by becoming pregnant, a woman commits a crime if she puts herself in danger in any way,” Paltrow said.
Apparently you’re in that camp. Now I’m laughing.

I believe it can be. I’ve seen several cases where a criminal was charged with the death of an unborn child, yet that state also allows abortions.
In fact, wasn’t there a case somewhere wherein a couple was charged with murder (or some derivation thereof) when they arranged for the boyfriend to beat the mother to cause the abortion, which was legal in that state, because they didn’t want the shame of going to a clinic?
